By benefit, I mean a short-term boost in profit, as employees are replaced by AI en masse, followed by an immediate collapse in value and functionality as the cheaper alternative proves to be worse in every metric. You know, the American way.

alas, it isn't a feature. it's training their models so they can sell that shit to corporations. seeming more and more likely that AI is going to exclusively benefit big businesses, to the detriment of everyone else.
