I don't think you get better than Met with James Levine for a faithful non-modern production, most recent productions try to do something modern and weird and I don't like it
sadly I don't think Seattle Opera ever did a recording of their cycle but that production was incredible
the Met opera recording with James Levine are the ones I watched over and over again
my preferred audio recording is Solti, and if you can find The Ring Disc somehow, it's the best thing ever www.classical.net/music/recs/r... - emphasis on "somehow" because it was a CD-ROM and idk if it's online
