I’ve been busy with personal life stuff behind the scenes, but still managed to make time to work on a couple small paintings. I also decided to try playing a bit more with my watercolors by adding salt to the background colors and it created a really pleasant texture ♡

After weeks of burnout, I finally sat down and slowly carved this new linocut print. Originally I was going to embroider the thread by hand but I had some struggles with the thread/technique.
Just gotta say that I’m proud of myself for pushing through and making art, I made this for me ♡

Got loads of this beautiful hand dyed Japanese washi paper that made me think of spring flowers (last photo) - but I’m torn on how to approach my block print.
One highlights the paper but the other colors the florals nicely. Thoughts?

And thank you! I felt like I worked around it ok with paintings because I made notes of which color is which and what blends ok with another - but this is a new medium and it doesn’t mix the same as paint so it had me soooo confused!
