This panel was held as part of #OurDigitalFuturesFest, commemorating 25 years of our work in digital justice.
Moderated by Anita Gurumurthy, Executive Director, IT for Change, this panel served as a pre-summit event for the upcoming India-AI Impact Summit 2026, organized by the Government of India.
With perspectives from technologists, researchers, and policy experts, the ‘ReGen AI Futures: Dimensions, Dilemmas, and Directions’ panel advocated for examining the extractive nature of AI and looking at how it deepens existing inequalities in our economy.
We are grateful for the time of the workers and trade unions who shared their lived experiences navigating algorithmic workplaces.
