Marx did not invent the labor theory of value (Ricardo) Marx was not the first to come up with communism or even stateless comminism (Fourier, Dejacque) Marx did not invent class analysis (Smith & Ricardo again) his contribution to socialism was inventing the idea of dictatorship of the proletariat
