Let me have a swing at revisiting The Ancestral Trail.
The youth of today need dark fantasy adventure magazines with activities and card games.
Or 1994's seven-episode CITV Richard O'Brien vehicle, The Ink Thief.
There's an alternate universe where I work for WotC and they stop inviting me to meetings because all I ever do is suggest bringing "Horsemanship" back.
This would also help those of us* with object-permanence problems or who keep mistaking their cards for tasty snacks.

Blair Witch 2016 - A horror film drafted by the youtube comments section of a FNAF Let's Play channel.
Oh, oh! Blair Witch '16!
I can forgive Book of Shadows since it was clearly "bad horror film with franchise tacked on last minute", Blair Witch was always meant to be a sequel.
Drained every ounce of mystery in the hopes of putting together "rules" and a coherent universe. Completely shambolic.
It Follows seems like an unfair one since my annoyance at it came from everyone saying it was good, and being wrong. It was "okay".
(again, great concept, good building suspense... And then you lose me when you're hoofing tv monitors at a ghost in a swimming pool...)
I would not be able to pick, since seemingly every horror film I saw for a good span of about 15 years followed the same formula:
- Interesting hook
- Good suspense build
- Rising crescendo and...
- ... payoff is a weird-faced spooky monster going "A blooga blooga bloo"
"... the elves are back..."
Finished Gundam last night. It posed many interesting moral questions, chief of which is
WHO OKAYED THE GUNTANK!?
The point of a mech is it's a tank with legs! You gave it treads! That's just a tank with a really tall profile so it's less manoeuvrable in atmo and much easier for enemies to hit!
Comic. I’m at my desk, leaning over to the doorway, saying “Hey! Foghorn! Foghorn Leghorn! Get in here!” Foghorn Leghorn is walking past the doorway, “Boy, I tell ya, I tell ya, not so loud, boy. What, I say, I say, what d’ya want?” Next panel, I’m gesturing to my computer. “How do I find that really good manga you recommended? It’s an anime now? I keep getting Halloween costumes.” Foghorn leans over my chair, “well, boy, I say, I say, you ain’t typin the entire title.” Last panel, I turn around- “you said ‘witch hat.’ Foghorn gets in my face- “open your ears, boy!! ‘Witch Hat Atelier, I tell ya! I tell ya ‘Atelier,’ I tell ya’”

It's either Rashomom or the weird delivery on:
"But then I'd be afraid of smothering him."
... yeah... and then we'd get the chair..."
"That's not what I meant."
"It was, Marge, admit it."
My entry point back in the day were the "Same model repeated 5 times" boxes for £5.
I remember seeing an entire Orc and Goblins army in a box for £100 in the Chelt store and thought "Wow, a hundred pounds. That's all the money in the world!"
Because
a) it was 1996
b) I was 8
and c) I am an idiot
Or I give Space Wolves a go.
I like the Saga bit of their codex.
"You can spend points to take a special rule. But you also have to achieve a specific goal in battle. Nothing bad happens if you don't do it. But what, are you going to NOT do the dumb heroic thing? Come on. You're a Space Wolf."
Oh no, I'd be using modern Avengers. It's just that the kit moved from a box of 10 (£25) to a box of 5 (~£40). That one really stings.
Problem is, my Eldar army back in the day relied on Dire Avengers. And those fuckers are now roughly £8,000 per model FOR SOME FUCKING REASON.
If I remember right, 3.5 was the one that had loads of flavour and army customisation, right? - Cult units out the wazoo.
2nd-4th I was bouncing between Orks and 'Nids. Eldar for 5th and then pretty much solid Chaos ever since 6th.
It was the edition that released when I worked for GW so it's entirely personal bias.
Nostalgia for sitting in the store building and tweaking lists with regulars, really getting to grips with what cool things every faction got.
I should try and start up a 5th edition 40k game group / campaign...
