Will have a look at it

There is a video on the product page that compares some sounds with the hardware.
The TAL-J-8X is finally here! An 80s synthesizer emulation with a fresh, modern touch :)

TAL made a new thing btw.
I made presets for that thing btw.
It's here, and it's good btw:

The JX-8P
Nice view of the voice modules:
Looks like some components don't like heat anymore. Keeping the panel and the window open fixes the tuning problem as a quick fix. Not sure how I can handle this in the summer. Definitely needs a service... :)
Switched on today and the problem happens again. DCO 2 at highest range 2' (accidentally wrote 16' in the last message) is out of tune.
Haha, that's exactly what I was afraid of. Luckily, it was just a hardware glitch. When I turned on the hardware today, it was working as expected :)
It was a glitch :) Switched the device on today, and all was in perfect tune. Hope it does not happen again.
To all Roland JX-8P owners: Is your device tuning also off with +17 cents for DCO2 and Range at max 16'?
I don't get it, why this happens on my hardware... All is perfectly in tune. DCO1 and DCO2, only DCO2 range 16' is out of tune.
Thanks for offering your help. All goot at the moment. It looks like our JX-8P works as expected.
Deconstructing NIGHTCALL by Kavinsky in 4mins:

The Key Follow value 83 should follow the pitch 100%. It works. I found that my filter cutoff is probably slightly detuned between voices.
Could not find any service instructions for the cutoff calibration process so far.
It is surprising how different Roland's vintage synthesizer models are.
The filter key-follow on the JX-8P does not follow MIDI notes below 24.
In addition, the frequency scaling is slightly off, and the filter key-follow is inaccurate. At least on my model.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks. I made a note about it. Good input.
Thinking about a TAL-Drum user request where you can set a negative delay for the mapping. Trigger the sample earlier. This introduces latency that we would report to the DAW. We would also show the trigger point in the waveform view of that mapping.
What do you think about this? Is this useful?
The new MPE settings are also available in the desktop version and our other synth products, ensuring compatibility with many more MPE hardware controllers, such as the Osmose.

TAL-EQ is finally here:

So true. Cute little plastic boxes they are :) ...but with an incredible sound. The tuning problem when touching the synth near the power button is a common issue. Cleaning the metal contacts inside of the button solves the issue.
SH 101 back from service. Power button detuning problem fixed and bender vco fader replaced :) thanks to the synthorama guy!
Every 8th key no longer worked. Same when triggered through MIDI. Disconnecting and reconnecting the MIDI KIT connection bus cable solved the problem. I am glad the fix was that easy :)
This is how the Jupiter 8 with MIDI extension looks from the inside

TAL-G-VERB updated to v2.
such a good combo: reverb + granular + eq.
( eq is a must use because the verb is so dense )
very good for deep soundscapes.
do check it!
