We are way overdue for successful, decentralized social media. I like Mastodon but adoption is a social and design problem as much as it is technical. To make our digital feudal lords obsolete, alternative networks need growth most of all 🌱

Bsky & Mastodon are federated so you must decide whose server is storing your data, whereas Nostr spreads it out, "peer-to-peer". These technical details are less important than the social problem: We need SOME alternative that gains enough *traction* to pull apart the monopolies of our attention.
