A nice morning at Lackford Lakes Suffolk Wildlife Trust, seeing my first House Martin, Little Ringed Plovers (pair) and Nightingales, other good bits were Bullfinch, Avocet, Reed Warbler and good views of Hare and Muntjac Deer

A lovely morning watching Water Voles, don’t think I’ve seen any until today since 2023
West Rise Marsh, Eastbourne. This PM - Black Necked Grebe still present on the main lake, pair Bearded Tit on the small lake, Water Pipit and 2 Sedge Warbler along Langney Sewer. Blackcap and Willow Warbler also present
Cockshut Restoration Project, Lewes. This AM - 1 Tufted Duck, 12 Gadwall, 1 Egyptian Goose, pair Shelduck, 1 Snipe, pair Little Grebe, 2 Little Egret, 2 Grey Heron, pair Grey Wagtail, 5 Willow Warbler, 7 Chiffchaff, pair Greenfinch.

This Common Seal has been around the Lewes area in the River Ouse for quite a while now and decided to come out and have a rest right in front of me this morning. Also 1 Sedge Warbler, 10 Chiffchaff, 3 Cetti’s Warbler, 1 Willow Warbler, 2 Swallow
Whilst at West Rise yesterday a Cetti’s Warbler finally posed in the open for me, plenty heard around here and also at Shinewater Lakes just up the road
A nice hour at West Rise Marsh, Eastbourne yesterday where the Black Necked Grebe was still present on the main lake and showed really well.
