I've got a concrete goal for some projects set up.
I'm going to aim to release two MVs by August. I think that's doable.
I need to be realistic, however. It's a *lot* of work. So I need to commit to this. I will still consider releasing ONE release as a success. But I want to really push for two.

After going back to the drawing board SO MANY TIMES, we've finally achieved some nice looking hair.
The colors are to help visualize how each strand is formed and shaped. This is so that each viewing angle can look as good as it possibly can!
If you're paying a monthly subscription for a plugin-- It's a scam. I genuinely do not believe that a plugin toting a new "magic button" to make all your mixing needs go away exists. They're all just reskins of existing tools.

Trying to be in the music industry for money is one of the most ass-backwards concepts.
When you play an instrument-- there is a deep connection made. Why do you want to monetize that intimate connection?
I'd rather share it. For free.

The mid range in EQ is wildly misunderstood. However it is also one of the hardest areas to balance. It can go from "excellent" to "muddy" very easily. Experimentation is a part of the process. One track may sound better with a "scoop" whilst another may be better with the opposite.

I think people should be making music for themselves. That's why you started in the first place, right? Someone inspired you and you thought: "I want to make music like that."
Your authenticity is what makes your sound unique.

It's okay to edit your recordings! Instrument or Voice. What's important is that you practice practice practice! You'll get better with each session. Be open about it!
It's crazy, but people really do hear you improve, even after you've done your edits to the track.
A demonstration on the simple elegance of FLStudio's "Stereo Shaper." Applying a short 10ms delay to the left for some percussion really makes them come to life! (:

Making a "studio" track and a "live" track is completely possible. Obscurity between the two is somewhat the norm in this current era.
Instead, I propose a question:
What is the intention with the song?
If you plan to perform live, prepare the track accordingly.

Sometimes, you're going to have no output. Even when you really want to have it. There's nothing wrong with that. What's important is to recognize it, and give yourself space to say: "I will get to this next time."
Then, you'll be fresh and ready to make it happen.

If you're starting out, 44100Hz (44.1kHz) and 96000Hz (96kHz) are just numbers. You don't need to worry about them, for now.
Many arguments/details may make this erroneous, but keep it simple. 44.1kHz is fine.
Your vocals sound great. Big numbers don't mean big sound.

Yes, there is a difference between loose and bag tea.
No, it doesn't really matter.
If you enjoy tea, and you drink it regularly, I think that's pretty cool.

I think gatekeeping production knowledge is a tragedy. However, I also think that "learning in 15 minutes" will only get you so far.
Learn for *30 minutes* a day. And I'll learn to not send novels on multi-band compression when someone asks me an unrelated question.

It's really important to know your temperatures/times with tea.
80°C (180°F) is the perfect temperature.
White/Green: for 2 minutes
Oolong/Black: for 3 minutes
For herbal teas, boiling water and upwards of 5 minutes is awesome.

You don't need to spend more than $150 on a microphone. I will die on this hill.
It's like when Tim Henson talked on "guitars with Mojo." A mic that inspires can be purchased for less than $200. *You* are what makes that inspiration for your listeners. Not your mic.
This song will be a part of my "How to mix for Vtubers" series.
We will explore how to create an instrumental in the style of KIRA (w some Occha twist.) Stay tuned! (No dates yet) I'm working with a vocalist to have this made so you don't have to hear my cheesy vocals on it.
should i keep working on this? i dunno probably gonna delete it.

If you say you "like your tea bitter," than I like having my espresso with milk. Cold milk.
Not a hot take. Because my drink is cold now.
I love making spreadsheets for large collaboration projects...

If you hate how you sound, embrace it. So long as you are not abusing yourself with harsh words, your critiques will help you get better.
The same goes to those who are asked to critique. Your words matter-- "Tone deaf" doesn't help.

Mugi Cha, (麦茶) is my personal "sweet tea" alternative. It's also caffeine free.
Now I can sleep well, *and* my arteries aren't screaming at me.
Seriously, try it. It's amazing.

A mixer's job is to ensure the best quality comes out of your project for release. It is also their job to provide critique and support to achieve said goal.
It is not their job to talk mad shit on twitter after they complete a project. We respect our singers.

Yes, chamomile lavender tea will help you relax.
But that coffee you had at 4pm is still gonna fuck your restful night up.

We need more encouragement for aspiring singers. Instead of saying: "Your recording sucks because you don't sound proof your room."
Understand the singer's situation and adjust accordingly. It's my job to make you sound amazing.
Vtubers, producers, FL Studio users!
I've been working to compile and curate a custom Maximus preset library for your production needs. I'm only scratching the surface, so this collection is nowhere near complete.
What kinds of things would you be interested in seeing?

Babe, wake up. A new FLStudio update dropped. 😩
Every time I work on a mix, I get better and better.
I am truly grateful to all of the folks who give me the opportunities to work on projects and allow me to practice humility so that I can improve with each iteration and step.
