Guide books???
I keep thinking about that as well. How did I know to go to ...

This is a great book! I have the audiobook and it is perfect for picking up when I don't want to get engrossed in a novel. The storytelling is well done. The protein history part is fascinating - ask people what they want to eat and then make a dietary recommendation based on that!

People who shop at small businesses tend to know this! I shop local & farmers market (where possible) & probably use cash & debit more than most.
This conversation is bringing back memories of buying travelers checks! 👵

One thing to note about card use; merchants can pass on their fee, so you'll pay an extra 2 or 3% in those cases (cheaper if it is a debit card). Not all places do it, but it is worth noting. Having said that, as others have said credit card use is pretty much everywhere.

That's bad ...

I don't think so, or at least here it isn't. Some of the profs I follow are in, for example, engineering departments in major Canadian universities and they are playing whack-a-mole with cheating and AI, etc.
Is this the generation who won't be able to think?

I find it troubling. I follow many professors on here - mostly Canadian but some others. The degree of cheating, using AI, etc that they mention disturbs me because it means that students aren't learning anything other than how to game the system. That's not going to serve them well in life

I love walking across the many bridges in my city because I can sing loudly and do my moves (having glanced over my shoulder first to be sure no one is too close). No one can sneak up on me on a bridge 🙂
Although I was singing Peter very loudly once when a lady on a bike went past me. 😳

Also, weirdest or least socially acceptable place you've done Taylor choreography or sung backup 😁
Or maybe I'm the only person who has a tendency to do this (subtly) in public places

🎶it's only words, cause words are all I have to take your heart away🎶

I saw your post, and my brain started singing that song.

He also seems to be having fun doing good and important things for his City. Ford seems grim, angry, or fake (depending) and most of all, irritated that people expect him to do things for his province

I contemplated moving some of my winter gear away from the 'active' area of the closet. I did not. Summer today; winter tomorrow.

Ally better be gone from work right now ... I was busy singing TTPD set on the elliptical and forgot to monitor her behaviour!

25 minutes from now you better be gone ....

It matters because it does. But having said that, whatever you choose will be fine

I know!!! I was talking on Zoom to someone at work, and said ' s***, I have to go. I have to get my Mastermind done'. Confused expression on my work friend's face.

Surprise songs occupied a startlingly large amount of my thinking time. Had to decide what songs went together, then pair them with whatever was going on, & whatever city she was in. Then there was the tension of 'what would she play'? How emotionally distraught would we be after the piano??

I think you meant 'caring and compassionate (although also nosy) hearts'

Economically, they would have been worse off. That policy no longer existed in the 1980s but they never married 'just in case'. It always comes to mind when people say that women are treated equally.

In the mid 1980s, I worked for S C Johnson (slogan 'A Family Company'). Yet, 2 of my coworkers (M&F) had been in a relationship for years but didn't marry & maintained separate households. Why? They each had a dependent family member, & if they married, the woman would have been forced to quit work

Love Story
Funny story ... It's in my head right now because I could hear it in the background while I was at my physio appointment. My physio was trying to explain my exercises, and I wanted to sing along with Taylor!

Saw our neighborhood cat! Glad to see he's still around. He wears a collar with a small story tag that explains that he's not a stray, where he lives, etc. It might even have his name. I don't know. I've never read the full tag because he likes to cover me in cat hair while demanding I pet him
