๐ค Hmmmm I wonder what is the similarity between these three news stories from three different time periods?

It was recommended by the prosecutor which usually goes in line with sentencing.... but he ended up with only 6 months. L.
Twitch is likely asking for $2-3 CCV as well. Huge gap in what they are getting vs what streamers are getting.
I'll admit it, in 1999 I should have been making smart investments, working hard and making money. My current financial situation of not being able to afford a house is a direct result of me playing outside with my friends, eating candy and being a child at the time.
In these instances often the parents will opt to use a stall with a toilet with their child.
I get a feeling USA might be different since they're so uppity about things like who belongs in what bathroom.
In general children will often go in with their parents regardless of gender. So it is not uncommon to have male children go into the bathroom with their mom, or female children to go in with their father to use the bathroom. (From my experience in Canada and Korea)
Makes me think you've never had a catheter XD
Just love how most of the misinformation being exposed in this video are just posts from Elon Musk's X www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDky...
The rest of the world plot point, is they don't necessarily go into debt. But most of the time they have to downsize their lifestyle and luxuries. But for the most part "financially" they are "fine". The point is the drama isn't based on money or lack of treatment. It is on the human aspect.
A bunch of the images and people making social posts about the black mold theory are all replaced with apologies.... I guess this is a sensitive topic for JKR since I am guessing she is issuing cease and desists
Like I literally grew up with HP, but obviously don't support the author whose brain must be infected with black mold. But does this mean I am going to thrown away my current books? No. I just will never buy anything related to JKR if it is new and money in anyway goes to JKR.
Buy the books used!
Normally I can go about my day without glasses on. Including reading, writing, etc. Like It is just a bit fuzzy.
Today I woke up and my eyes were like "nope not going to bother trying. Get those glasses on dumbass."
Plot point in Rest of the world: My wife has gotten sick and cannot work, and our family lost income potential. This is a problem and sad.
Plot Point in USA: My wife has gotten sick and cannot work. We now have $500,000 of medical debt and I am working 2 part time jobs and we're financially ruined.
Just hearing some people are paying $1000 USD a month for health insurance that will likely reject their claim is nuts. And that people become bound to their current job since they are worried about losing their health insurance.
I've unironically heard people who are against affordable or free healthcare say this unironically.... the saying literally is saying it is impossible no matter how hard you try.
Yankee Doodle all over again.
"Just work hard and pick yourself up by the bootstraps"
๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Or the response: "Oh that's why we have insurance, non-of that socialist nonsense". Yes... how is your private equity shareholder profit driven auto reject claim insurance working for your system?
Why defend a system that favours billionaires and the wealthy?
Or talking to some Americans I know talking about Health care being free is better look me dead in the eyes and say "I've bought into the propaganda."
I am like WHAT. How much does it cost you to get basic treatment where you live vs where I live? How is this "propaganda?"
OH don't even get me started on mental health treatment. Honestly talking about getting treatment but people think they can find a cheaper alternative and know better... Feels like I am talking about the war in Ba Sing Se.
Which basically is the plot point of "oh poor people should rely on nice boss and appreciate working hard / nice and generous rich billionaires"
And like half the time the rich generous main character of the story helps them out in some magnanimous way to gas up the main character.
My job is in danger because I have to talk care of my partner/parent/family at home because we can't afford to pay a hospital.
The amount of times I've seen this plot point just completely takes me out of the story.
Giant open wound? "Nah I'll just walk it off and not be a 'pussy'".
Broken Ankle? "It's probably nothing I'll just continue to painfully limp for months until my entire leg turns purple."
Or like this "tough" personality type that has been popularized because they are injured and refuse to see a doctor and "walk it off".
The amount of American people I've spoken to who are choosing not to get a hernia treated because of the cost should not be a thing.
Now an adult, rewatching US shows drama with cost of medical bills as a arc... Or a character quirk of someone "not getting basic treatment" later revealed "because money".
American friends often see no problem and tell me a bunch of propaganda about free/affordable medical coverage.
Blows my mind
I love that place
