This block by UCLA is now the biggest pedestrian-only plaza in L.A. Westwood’s Broxton Plaza will host a grand opening this weekend with free activities.

We need more pedestrian-focused spaces in Los Angeles.
I am happy that they are adding one more at UCLA.

I know this is easier in Los Angeles, and we shouldn't take that for granted.
If you are in Los Angeles and struggling to find a Starbucks or McDonald's alternative, please feel free to ask in the post.
I know I or the people in my feed will help.

While many were helped, some fire victims say Airbnb’s free vouchers are useless More than 100,000 people applied for Airbnb.org's free housing program, which offers credit to use on Airbnb rentals. But some fire victims who received the vouchers claim they're useless.

I never liked air bnb, but this doesn't help me like them more.
When I plan travel for folks, I avoid them, and maybe you should too.

I figure that people with private accounts or no posts want to look, but not be looked at
If your higher power is about love and community (sure)
If your higher power is about cleansing and smiting (hell no)
I follow people who turn complaints into action

How I have curated a sane feed on social media
I follow Angelenos, artists, book nerds, art lovers, and small businesses
I don’t follow people who hate things
I don’t follow people with too many numbers in their names (bot formulas)
*I do check to see if any of those people post things first

Nick Cave: Forothermore This retrospective celebrates Chicagoan Nick Cave, an artist celebrated for projects that blend community building with immersive installations, performances, and more.

I am taking a moment to get used to 🦋
Monday is usually my #art focus.
I just want to say that I would love it if any #LosAngeles museum brings Forothermore here.

If you only get two things from this account, I want it to be this:
How to get out of your house and explore Los Angeles
How to vote with your dollars by supporting local businesses.
