There’s something beautiful and soothing about a rewarding grind. When I’m stressed I always know 1000 tiny meaningless dopamine hits are there to make my monkey brain feel better. Add a podcast to the mix? Now you’re cooking with gas.
For everyone wondering “how would I spend my final hours on earth?” You now get to find out! For me it’s weirdly grinding an MMO for comfort. For you it’s whatever feels good. Hopefully WW3 doesn’t break out, but if it does you can find me grinding in Star Citizen.

I think one of the worst things about AI is the veneer of “impartiality.” When in reality there are few things more mailable than a chatbot.
Additionally, as busy adults who have bought games on Steam most of us have a sizable backlog. This gives us the patience to wait out full price games until they inevitably go on sale. So there are few day one purchases for a busy adult.
A big problem is, only adults have $30/month disposable income. Being adults with jobs, we do not play and beat more than 5 AAA $70 games a year. Which is the value proposition Ultimate has to overcome.
