Little sneak peek of how we're going about fishing in Fisheyes.
- Camera locked to bauble; pulling against it resists the fish's movement
- cute little chain ik for getting that bendy rod.
- and a little line renderer to tie it together

Thank you! :D
I have not shared this much but for those who did not know, I am starting a new part of life around end of October! My Fiancée and I are expecting a baby daughter ☺️
I posted a small blog on my portfolio about Acorn 2D, a custom C++ game engine made by myself and @deadmonstor.bsky.social

Go give otterhands a follow. I loved Refarm and I am excited to see the next project!
Looking good!
I still have some updates planned for this but I am also now developing my next small title. I had big plans, but other plans turned them into smaller ones :D Can't wait to share my next project. It shouldn't be long!
This means that Idle Fields, my silly little idle game that started as a side project, now has 500k total views on YouTube. That is insane! This game has achieved so much, even getting a bundle with the Plantera which is what inspired me to make this in the first place
Idle Fields has recently seen a massive spike in players, breaking its highest player record from 66 last year to 74. This all happened because of the spring sale and a youtuber who uploaded a video at the same time. That video now sits at 100k views 🤯

If I throw the chicken, can it lay eggs mid air?
Hey! I hope you all are doing well. I just wanted to mention that my indie game is 50% off for the winter sales 😅 If you haven't checked it out, now would be the best time to do so

Mine has already surpassed. I really like this platform too. I don't have random ads or promoted content that I never asked to see
Personally I prefer none. You could always make it a setting just like Webfishing did?
Thank you :D It's been a long time coming and a lot of re-working input/UI
Not jealous at all 😅
Thank you for including me in this :D
I feel that
What have you been working on recently? I'd love to hear about more indie projects!
I am nearly done with this which is exciting. Just a few more icons to display and somewhere to display gamepad controls. Then it's up to testers to decide my faith
I just realised that the indentation here is all messed up. Oh well 😅

I never did an introduction so here it is!
Hello, my name is Ben. I work as a programmer in AAA and I do a lot of indie work in my spare time. I am excited to share my indie journey with you all here. I have 1 released title so far and I am planning what's next
Thank you! I want to share things here but not until I have made a choice hahah
Possibly. I'm just trying to avoid scope creep as well since I spent a year on my previous game hahah
Definitely! Glad you found yours. I have a few games I really like but choosing which I feel will do best is the hard part. One features a lot of balancing which I suck at, the other is quite similar to other titles
I have been prototyping a lot recently. Deciding on what to make my next project is the hardest part
I also stupidly announced it in more than 1 place so I can't even just drop it at this point. It would make me look terrible publicly. Lesson learned
When I released Idle Fields it was marked as partially playable on controllers. I let someone's negative review get to me and decided to add full support. Now I'm almost done with it but I still don't think the game is fit for controllers at all 🙃
Yesterday I got scroll rects working flawlessly on controllers in Unity. I wish things like this were supported by default but oh well, I'm just happy to see it in the game!
That sounds like a pretty good goal :D We're also close to 2025 :o
Goals for the end of 2024
- Release 1 or 2 Idle Fields updates (my indie game)
- Prototype the next game
- Start learning how to drive
- Start back up my YouTube channel
What has everyone else got in mind?
