...Like something out of, like, 80s #AJPW. Nothing flashy, just hard-hitting, technical, and mean as hell. I didn’t even like that style at the time, but there was something about seeing it clash with the newer, faster #WWE style that pulled me in.

I had just gotten back into wrestling after a ten-year hiatus. I was watching the #Hulu versions of #RAW & #SmackDown which usually cut out half the episode, and even then I would skim through most of it.

But I always stopped for #Cesaro & #Sheamus

Congrats to Demolition for their WWE Hall of Fame induction and thank you for awakening some weird fantasies in gentlemen across the country.

The mix of straightforward, hard-hitting 1v1 action and tag-team synchronization is so freaking cool. All four guys know when to be in, who should be in, and how to cut the ring in half to suffocate the other team. It’s a game of chess with slugfest rules…and two of the dudes are BDSM artists...

This was so sick. As somebody whose favorite modern tag teams are Butcher & The Blade, FTR, and the newly formed Davis & Doyle, I’m kicking myself for never watching the teams that clearly inspired and cemented the kind of tag team wrestling that I love today.

Not gonna’ lie, I’ve actually never seen a Brain Busters match or a Demolition match before this.

And I feel like a fool…

The first two leaders of the #BulletClub go face-to-face for the first time and the result is exactly what I always wanted to see from my favorite #wrestlers in WWE. I just don’t get why they’re coached away from this style of match but, I’m glad we got to see this one and I’ll re-visit it often.
