I'm updating Dr. Ian Malcolm's warning for the bros of Silicon Valley: "Your VCs were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." Another banger from @lopatto.bsky.social www.theverge.com/tldr/915176/...

Also not a cat. Having gone through the rest of thread AFTER I posted the pic I worried I’d misread the assignment
Listening to more albums in their entirety rather than just playlists. This afternoon's album: 'Nine Inch Noize' by Nine Inch Nails & Boys Noize music.apple.com/us/album/nin...
Going to post daily blossom updates until the last petal has fallen
Deeply honored to have played my small part in the Post Games adventure 🙏
Cherry tree in full bloom with white and pink blossoms
Cherry tree in full bloom with white and pink blossoms
Our cherry tree has burst into full bloom seemingly overnight. Spring has finally sprung in our little corner of northwest Connecticut

In a Thanos-worthy move, Disney axes 'nearly the entire Academy Award-winning visual development team at Marvel Studios'—the creative team behind some of the highest-grossing movies of all time. It's astonishing how often creative teams take the brunt of layoffs at companies built upon creativity
The Onion writers nailing the assignment once again
A heavily armored knight, wreathed in fire and decay, holding a massive sword, set against a ruined landscape beneath a sulfurous yellow sky.
Today is the tenth anniversary of Dark Souls III. I've been playing it for the first time this past week—10 years late, having beaten Elden Ring twice. It feels familiar yet new. I keep coming back to FromSoftware; I can't help myself. To borrow from @ohnorosco.bsky.social: I have been Souls-pilled.
Post Games episode art featuring a close-up of an uncanny, mask-like human face against a black background, overlaid with the show's logo. Glitching neon shapes bleed off the right edge of the frame.
This is one of my favorite pieces of Post Games episode art to date. Super simple but reassuringly creepy and weird—and the game 'Prove You're Human', from which the image is taken, looks utterly fascinating. @plante.bsky.social interviews the team behind it www.patreon.com/posts/where-...
Listen to the creators of 1000xResist and Slay the Princess
talk about:
+ How to tell a meaningful story about A.I. in 2026
+ Why game makers who find success should put their money where their mouth is, and support other up-and-coming teams
+ Where games are heading next
All that and more for $1!
Finally playing Dark Souls III for the first time. Utterly sublime. Even though I’m coming to it 10 years late, having beaten Elden Ring twice, it all feels reassuringly familiar yet new and exciting. I adore it already
You could wait till Monday to hear Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley, the brilliant creator of blacktransarchive.com, share how she has brought games and play into art galleries
Or you could listen right now AND support indie journalism doing the exciting work that a subscription model makes possible
That time I took a photo of the brand new iPhone 7 using the original iPhone www.theverge.com/tldr/2016/9/...
The original iPod is a thing of great beauty. It’s still out on display to admire every day, with its music library forever frozen in 2002 www.theverge.com/2018/2/18/16...
Back at the DEFY workshop in Ravenswood, Chicago watching humans making great things for humans
The perfect story about Reddit mod power dynamics does not exist… oh wait
I’m in Chicago and it’s 75 degrees and sunny, and after the winter we’ve just had in Connecticut, I am no longer built to handle these kinds of temperatures
OK, this @theverge.com "Rank the 50 best Apple products" is off the charts cool and I fucking love it (I also seem to consistently pick the winners, so there's that too) www.theverge.com/cs/tech/9004...

A major level unlock over the weekend: My essay on the experience of reading Neuromancer, William Gibson's iconic 1984 sci-fi novel, for the first time in 2025 hit over 40k views—a massive number for me. Thank you to everyone who read it! open.substack.com/pub/mbh4h/p/...
And I know there’s some controversy around using Max Richter’s ‘On the Nature of Daylight’ in Hamnet, after it was used to devastating effect in Arrival (and episode 3 of The Last of Us), but I simply don’t care: it’s a gorgeous piece of music and utterly perfect for this film too
I finally watched Hamnet last night. It’s one of the most beautifully crafted films I’ve seen in years. It should win every single Oscar it’s nominated for—but especially Jessie Buckley for her truly astonishing, mesmerizing performance. youtu.be/xYcgQMxQwmk?...
