Recently got into retro gaming. I dusted off my Xbox 360 and got a PS2(never had one growing up). One thing current gen games don't do anymore are movie/tv show tie-in games. These were generally mid with lower production costs and time, but they have a charm. Modern games need more mid titles.

If you've read the 2nd half of the manga man machine interview Masamune was a very early adopter of using 3D and digital methods for comics/manga and I actually think its a good homage to his style.

It's good, you'll get used to the 3d as you watch it. And if anything the designs of 2045 are closer the manga art seen In man machine interface. Nothing is like the manga but SAC, 2nd gig, & 2045 are the best.

To me it feels really weird that most everyone at work or in game dev social media circles just pretend like everything's fine. We make useless corporate infused art so people can ignore the real world. If anything games add to the problem instead of fixing it.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
