We've got 5" at my house! I live on the Connecticut shoreline.

2/2 testing him to make sure there's no recurrence. He's slowly getting his strength back.
1/2 He's doing remarkably well! They're 95% sure they got all of the tumor--al 20lbs of it!--and got to keep one kidney, his spleen, his bowel (no resection needed)...I forget what else. But they had to take his left kidney, which was non-functional anyway. They want to keep
Terrible news!
Oh, I'm definitely overdue for a good time! Bring it on!
He'll decide based on the outcome of the next release of the Epstein files, or the next negative reaction to something he does, like putting his name on the Kennedy Center. But I think he is serious, and I hope Greenland is alert and on their guard.
It was only seconds after these lines that the guy in front of me in the cinema went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing. He survived, but only because I yelled at the crowd as the poor guy was turning gray, "HE'S DYING! DOESN'T ANYONE HERE KNOW CPR?" The ambulance took 20 minutes.
3/3 comfort and encouragement. This is by far the best outcome we could have had.
2/3 bend over. He's not allowed to drive or pick up more than 10 pounds. He's bored out of his skull and can't wait to get back to work next week. We work from home, and it's a publishing company (O'Reilly Media--not Bill; no relation), so it's not a physical strain. Thanks for your messages of
1/3 To anyone who's been following this: my husband had surgery on December 22, and the surgeon said they got the entire 20+ pound tumor and only had to remove his left kidney. Hubby is recovering quickly and uneventfully at home. His main issue is the incision: it's painful, and he can't...
Our First Amendment rights flushed down the toilet!
There's more to go, but I'm not sure when it will get done, between the holidays and Mike's surgery. But it *will* get done! And the treadmill arrives on Monday.
1/2 I had a professional organizer come and help me with my kitchen, and she was amazing! Bagged up the trash, took stuff to donate, and I have so much less stuff now! A junk collection service came and took stuff from my family room and from the yard. They filled their dump truck!
Thanks, I appreciate that. He's holding up really well. If you didn't know him, you'd think he was just a typical balding guy with a pot belly. We're cleaning the house, which hasn't had a good going over in 20 years or more. I'm going with Swedish death--not keeping anything I don't need.
We find out tomorrow if my husband is a good candidate for major cancer surgery or if he should get his affairs in order. He's already done a lot of that, fearing the worst. The suspense is killing me. I'm grateful I can drink and not become addicted. Maker's Mark will help me sleep tonight.
It depends on how valuable the books are. You would want to handle old first editions (most valuatle ein first printings) with care. I'm told gloves aren't really necessary. And yes, I would love to be tipped gently against his chest. Form a line, ladies and gentlemen!
Look at Trump complaining about illegal campaign contributions. When he does it, it's perfectly justified. When anyone he doesn't like does it, he gets all offended. Snowflake. This isn't any kind of campaign contribution. How does the DNC benefit? In his sick mind, that's all.
He could say he was just praying for Charlie's soul, but nobody would believe that.
Nearly 3 minutes! How nice is that?! I hope things are getting better for you.
I used to get emails from my senator, Chris Murphy. Always ended with a plea for money. I emailed him at his official email address, and asked if it was really him. Suddenly, the emails stopped. I think a lot of those emails are just throwing names around to get people to donate.
Sounds like he has a long recovery ahead of him.
2/2 the tumor, his left kidney, his spleen, the tail of his pancreas, and a section of his large intestine. The chemo will wreck his immune system, so I have to isolate through the holidays, which sucks, but what can I do? I don't want to lose my husband! But I won't be around much online, either.
1/2 To anyone who is still following me: My husband has cancer--interperitoneal liposarcoma D, a rare but aggressive cancer with a 30% survival rate over 5 years. He has a huge fatty tumor in his abdomen that is pushing organs out of the way. He's going for chemotherapy, then surgery to remove
Happy birthday!
I saw it, too. LMAO!
"Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight..." Oh wait--that's Mamma Mia.
I love when Aziraphale says, "I think perhaps you've got the wrong shop!" to Shadwell.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. Anxiety and gut are closely related. But I'm glad they figured out what was going on, and I hope you're feeling better soon!
LOTS of us feel that way, but how do we put a stop to it?
Your son is very talented. And I also loved "Car 54 Where Are You?"
