You know when you get an unexpected influx of kudos and you know someone must have recc'd your fic somewhere, but you don't know where? I have that but with sales on one of my knitting patterns and it's driving me nuts. WHERE ARE ALL OF YOU COMING FROM?

That’s the thing though, they’re making new stories for characters that never existed in the first place. Why bother adding more human characters when the sheep should be the focus, as they are in the book? If you’re making it more kid friendly that seems counterintuitive to me.

Well if they want it to be a “family friendly” movie, and I think @andi.rwrb.social is right about that, then they need to change a lot about the underlying mystery lol

I guess that explains the major changes then. 😂 Because yes, there is basically nothing about the plot that's suitable for children except the sheep themselves.

I'm not sure it's supposed to be a kids movie? But I suppose talking animals are gonna attract them anyway. It's definitely not a children's story lol. I did enjoy the book on it's own merits, it was very charming and whimsical.

I think it's gonna be so different as to be incomparable lmao. But I do get that, I'm already a little annoyed by some of the sheep decisions in the movie.

REALLY? 😅 I thought it was a light easy read lol. Maybe I just vibe with the sheep.

This is kind of beside the point of this post but now that I've read Three Bags Full I cannot for the life of me figure out what they're doing with this movie. They have made up so many characters out of thin air. What is even the point of adapting something if you're gonna change everything.
