At least the first issue is not that difficult to manage with students. Ask them to submit sources as a PDF appendix with highlighted cited passages. It works well and prevents hallucinated sources.

Jede bessere Anbindung von Reutlingen (und Tübingen) wird sich meiner Meinung nach sehr schnell positiv auf der B 27 auswirken.

Vier Mal die Stunde, pünktlich, und in 35 min aus Reutlingen wie vor den Umbauarbeiten, und alles wäre deutlich besser 🙈

And for me, it’s swimming. Once I learned to swim in a very, very steady rhythm, I slip into a kind of “flow” where I don’t really notice anything around me anymore, and I enjoy it a great deal. The gym, by contrast, feels too busy for me, and I find the other people distracting.

I find it tiring that leaving academia because you simply do not want a professorship quickly turns into a general critique of the German system, the insecurity, temporary contracts...But no, that was not the reason. It depends a bit on the group of students, doesn’t it? I do have some groups who are quite strong in maths, and they’re not put off by it at all. In fact, they tend to find it interesting to express such relationships mathematically.

Ich: Hab ich in der 1. und 2. Vorlesung gesagt, steht auch im LMS.
Studentin: das ist unfähr, dass konnte ich nicht wissen, ich war nicht da und hab mich nicht eingeloggt.
