Maybe that's the point, a metaphor about overfishing LMAO
If you think about it he literally has the power to control all travel and agriculture if he wanted. Very interesting world building implications

Stacy Mitchell has the best command of this subject. She explains how Amazon's ability to match any discount absolutely shreds competitors trying to give you a lower price. To hide these powers from nosy reporters, Amazon shuts off the magic algorithm during holiday shopping season and Prime Day.

a bear vacuuming a floor as a japanese salaryman looks on in terror

found out about the manga kuma gurashi which is like those ones where a manic pixie dream girl comes into a salaryman's life and starts doing all his domestic chores for him to heal his heart except in this one it's a realistically drawn bear and the salaryman is terrified on every single page

I kinda get it. So much hidden menu layers that its less effort to just learn five processing languages and leave it at that. At least programming languages don't change much over time and perfectly logical every time. I go through 8 menu layers to turn off the emoji kitchen I morph into the joker

I'm not a techbro because salty techbros I know run windows on the virtual machine on their Linux and types directly into PowerShell whenever they need to do anything because it's easier to deal with than the menu layers in the UI

I have a horseshoe theory when it comes to art and tech, and that's at the extreme ends of the scale are people who are deeply, intrinsically opposed to being told what to do. There's something in their (fine, our) brains where if you tell them something can't be done they'll go insane

Two horses gallop into the sunset, one with a tiefling cowgirl in red stanced on the horseback, bridal catching a figure in a demon mask dramatically giving the camera the finger. The other horse has a wood elf slumped backwards on its back, big wet eyes and sobbing desperately

Quick doodle, we robbed a train! Note the two dramatic posers both almost died multiple times, and the one sobbing killed 4 people

That's the power of homodachis in real life 🤝 Brain cell? Shared. Normies? Baffled. Cycles? Synced.

Their character was "mogger", so it was in character. I had been given "sidekick" and up until that point had been playing a 1970's live action Robin completely fawning as expected. A true moment of same brain cell 🤜🤛

While playing jackbox yesterday, the game where you are given a character to RP in a reality show me and the bestie upon given the question for "what would winning mean?" Both wrote a variant of "to consume the leader to absorb their power and usurp their place"

when people joke about the site crashing because of ai or vibecoding or whatever, it's very funny that the smug tech-brains not only get very upset but also are like errrrrm excuse me it wasn't ai we're just bad at it

Urgh I wonder if my laptop is upgradable. The amount of RAM is inefficient for accessing vibe coded bullshit now. But man I know researching parts is going to be the most damn miserable tech wrangling thing I do this week

Everyone, I saw on the internet someone put several countries languages mixed together to speak. After I saw it I be like, well if it isn't for me! I must also try it out. Here's my passage of Chinese Japanese plus English challenge!
When I study Japanese, sometimes there will be hanzi, it would make me very happy. Because I am Chinese, when I see hanzi, I already know the meaning of that word. But I hate loan words. What do you mean (in kana) McDonalds, Starbucks, Google, Disneyland, I can't remember how to write Katakana at all. It's too hard.
That's all. Bye bye!

As always I forgot I'm the freak. Here's what the screenshot says in plain English lol. There's... No way I can keep the English exact as they had it and for the sentence to be grammatically consistent, but I tried. Updated, I mistyped McDonald's as Microsoft because it fucked me up too

Another fun language thing going around xhs (this one was titled "read this daily to prevent old age dementia") where people learning Japanese and English would mix them and Chinese together to read aloud. It's a gauntlet of Chinese characters with different readings and English loanwords in kana
