This. Spent years trying to work out what the 'dream' job was for me. There wasn't one. Am now definitely not in the dream job but I enjoy it. And it gives me time at home to find and do things I enjoy outside work.

Would have been well within her rights just just leave at 4 if that's her contracted finish time. Wasn't her appointment and if she wasn't even asked.

I remember when I was 18 ('04) and wanted to get a part time job and my parents told me to just print out some cv's and go shop to shop 😂. Got nothing and even got laughed out of several.

Did this with mine a few years ago when I changed jobs. Was definitely worth doing.

Didn't know this about being protected if they go bust. OH was made redundant a few years back when company went bust. Assumed pension and everything else went with it. Will have to look into it.
