Set it in an alternate timeline or "other world" that's close to our reality but it's not quite our timeline. Or, just do the research. I don't do a ton of historical fiction anyway - I dabble in "high fantasy," but most of what I write is present or near-future. #horrorwriterschat
I think my other writing helps my horror more than the other way around, because writing pure horror is still a relatively new thing for me. The more that I write of any genre helps me write in every genre, and I try to write in as many genres as I can. #horrorwriterschat
