The City Auditor is clearly suffering from an advanced case of Frey Derangement Syndrome.

Vast swathes of our society are driven soley by petty grievance. It is such a defining problem of our time.

Jabob Frey: Always the winner!

It is so funny that just a week after there was a "Performative Mayor" contest in a local park, he couldn't help but find an extreme and absurd action to show all of them up.

Apparently protecting LGBTQIA+ residents and promoting public health interventions isn’t a core function of City government for Frey. He only cares about the community to the extent that he can grift off of them for political gain.

I strongly support the sales tax increase to fund HCMC. We can't let our safety net hospital close. But I am intensely opposed to the $7 million per year that SF 4986 would also give to the Twins Stadium. It's a major expansion of corporate welfare. The Pohlads should pay for it!

Trump just writes JD off as a loser after this weekend, right? Maybe all this embarassment is justto punish him for disagreeing on Iran in the first place.

For pretty much the same reason I subscribed for the first time to the Strib after admiring some of their coverage during the surge. Now I read their local city hall coverage and am regularly depressed by it. I just wish Taylor would sell

I’ll take a cue from the soon-to-be-former Commissioner and calm down.

Does it seem weird that the City Clerk was the one who requested the second vote to deny, in order to “send something clean” to the mayor? Almost looks like he just wanted to give something to Frey that could be vetoed.

Rubio looks like he just got caught telling someone how Johnny Ola first brought him here

At SD63 convention and I'm sad to see a giant mural showing that Roosevelt High is actually named for Teddy, not FDR

appreciate all you do, Luke, especially that you were the first one to send out the updated location for SD63 convention. As late as two days ago I got an email from the Reeves campaign with the wrong location listed!

I'm shocked, shocked to see that this unelected body doesn't seem to have much respect for democratic representation.

For @jfritchie.bsky.social — a wood duck in front of the island in the middle of Powderhorn Park Lake (because that’s where I saw a wood duck this morning).

Dave's CaringBridge At six this morning Dave took his last breath. Jan was by his side. We've been listening to a lot of Phil Ochs the last few…

Really sad to learn about the passing of Dave Bicking this morning. He was a longtime advocate for police accountability in Minneapolis. I hope someone writes a deep retrospective of his work and the systemic changes he championed over the decades. www.caringbridge.org/site/public/...

i remember a lot of complaints from council members at the time and i think they must have been over the charter commission blocking the ballot question in 2020 and the city attorney's restrictions in 2021, and i could be conflating the two
