The press conferences the PM does, seem to be sometimes very long.

You mean with a single reporter, and not several reporters? I think CBC has done both full interviews with MC and PP in December. I remember that Rosie went full attack mode on MC and was very gentle with PP.

Let us say the price of bread would have increased by 15 cents without fuel tax cuts and would increase by 10 cents with the fuel tax cut.
Both price increases would likely stay in place after fuel costs drop and the fuel tax is reinstated. Which one do you prefer?

Consumers of gas will pay less tax than they would have otherwise. No passing on of savings there.
Prices will rise due to rising oil costs. They will only grow less.
Businesses will still need to watch how much they can afford to raise prices. (No passing on of savings, only smaller increases).

Duh. Isn’t it obvious? Gas/Diesel prices are included in our grocery prices.

Tax cuts at the pump are meant to lower our costs to be offset by higher taxes oil companies will be paying to the government because of the higher revenues they will have

$5 less per fill-up plus less expensive groceries due to lower diesel prices works for me.
If I were a millionaire, I wouldn’t care about the savings.
