Just a few days away now! Early posting for #5CoverSongsAndThe starts on the evening of Saturday 25th April.
Remember, your 'x and the x' band can be responsible for the original song you post a cover version of, or the group performing the cover; bonus points* for songs where both are the case!
My all-time favourite song :-)
Thank you for the superhuman effort that goes into all this, Arron - and enjoy Amsterdam! :-)
Gorgeous - my favourite song of theirs.
Superb choice :-)
She's wonderful :-)
An absolute classic! :-)
Excellent choice :-)
Excellent - looking forward to it :-)
I think just not enough vote full stop!
Day 21: Garth Hudson ripping it up.

Day 21, #10: Run To The Hills
Their first single to feature Bruce Dickinson on vocals, and, thanks to my older cousin, the first Maiden song I was aware of.

Day 21: Found at the beach
"There's a tale that they tell of a dolphin and a boy made of gold.
With the shells and the pearls in the deep,
He has lain many years fast asleep..."
Julie London - Boy On A Dolphin

Great song! I had it on a Rough Trade Shops post-punk compilation :-)
Great choice, Louie!
Stunning is exactly the right word for both :-)
Great choice - such a brilliant album!
A beauty!
No Sault, though... :-(
And do we have to wait 76 years until we can vote for it again? ;-)
Day 20: Absolute gorgeousness from Jane Weaver, who plays melodica on this one. Colin McLeod provided the piano part, and his late brother Norman the pedal steel.
Jane Weaver - O' To Be In This Land

Day 20, #11: Different World
The opener to 'A Matter Of Life And Death' is a real barnstormer, and I love the way Bruce sings the chorus in a lower register - the band themselves have said it's meant as a tribute to Thin Lizzy, and it works brilliantly.

Day 20: Something hard to lift
Ours was, at least!
"I'm a sleeping dog, but you can't tell..."

Thanks, Miki :-)
He would! :-)
See also Kelly Marie, 'Feels Like I'm In Love' - pew pew, pew pew! :-)
Superb choice!
Brilliant - and very clever! :-)
Wow! Beautiful stuff, you must be so proud. All the very best to junior, although I hope his exams go better than his start of season prediction of Pompey for a play-off place if I remember correctly...! ;-)
