I bought a pair of sweatpants recently and the first time wearing them was like "I wish these had a drawstring." And then I added a drawstring, and wore them again, and got to experience not only better pants but the satisfaction of having done a thing with my hands that improved my life slightly.

I have to share the full cover spread because the back is so good! Made by the very talented @isthiseva.bsky.social
Positively delighted to see that Amplitudes: Stories of Queer and Trans Futurity is a Locus Award Finalist!
Thanks and congrats as always to the contributors without whom this book wouldnt exist, to @dianapho.bsky.social, and to @erewhonbooks.bsky.social for publishing it.
It's so gooood
Once again frustrated by a book with a setup and outline that I should love, but that feels like it's marking its choreography rather than dancing it

I also only realized about Max a few years ago!
mood... I would love to be super hype about it, but I'm mostly watching for the conversation and the 2-3 times per episode milk and/or film lays me out on the floor
👀 I do like these things
AO3 put out a warning detailing what kinds of automated bot comments you should watch for, remember its AI doing these archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/...

YOU: Hi my name is [name]. I’m calling from [ZIP CODE]. YOU: Today, President Trump said that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if Iran does not meet his deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. That rhetoric is extreme, dangerous, and disqualifying. FOR THOSE W/ DEM ELECTEDS: I’m asking [ELECTED OFFICIAL] to publicly condemn this rhetoric and use every available procedural tool to stop further escalation, including support for impeachment and urgent public pressure on congressional leadership. FOR THOSE W/ GOP ELECTEDS: I’m asking [ELECTED OFFICIAL] to publicly condemn this rhetoric, press the administration and cabinet to treat this as disqualifying conduct. YOU: Calling this what it is matters. Even if removal is difficult, elected officials should treat rhetoric like this as unfit and dangerous. YOU: [OPTIONAL COMMENTS]
Script.
All the fingers crossed that you get the year and that it gives you the space for burnout recovery
In light of the conversation about how hard it is to promote your own book: Post a link to buy your book here and I’ll boost it cause you destroyed yourself to get it done, your publisher won’t help you sell it, and you deserve cheers and admiration for your accomplishment.
The Citizen of Eastport, a sci-fi noir queer pulp intrigue with a messy f/f/nb situationship at its heart, has been out for just over a month now!

Oh man that was one of the first dramas I watched, back when I was just kind of randomly following CQL actors into other shows. That one had the extra boost that I love playing Go. I remember really enjoying it!
I love how Pu Yiyong is a certified dumbass but he has these really fundamental instincts toward compassion and treating everyone like a person. And the way the whole story shapes around that (and his dumbassery too)
Just openly sobbing over the second story, Fandy Fan with the back tattoo. The beauty it gives to this sad small life of a man who never got over his loss - the people that didn't even know his name but remembered him sweetly and grieved his death.
lowkey delighted at the implication that ray's sobriety lasted about as long as I expected it to
I'm rewatching Oh No! Here Comes Trouble and it's every bit as good as I remember. Funny and spooky and full of grief.
This was a gift for me and WHAT a gift it was
