I guess you don't need a stealth mechanic when the enemies barely notice you walking straight up behind them.

Just about 7 hours in and this has been pretty decent. Clobbering werewolves with a giant hammer feels fucking good. Not supremely difficult, and not too many issues with the gameplay now that I've gotten used to it. The enemy AI can be a little deficient at times.

We shall fight for our homes

Today I am thinking about Dark Sheik. And Nyla Rose. And Sonny Kiss. And Edith Surreal. And Kidd Bandit. And all people brave enough to be themselves in an industry that, more than not, is still hostile to them, in a world actively hostile to them. A level of strength so strong it becomes contagious
Just for clarity’s sake-Danhausen is an anti-ai guy, historically he is amazing to artists, good guy. He doesn’t dictate what the merch department does with his stuff. Please don’t swing on my friend

So I was thinking about my place in S&S last night and my desire to leave a mark on its history. Apparently I've made one already, because "How Many Deaths" gets shouted out in this book by David C. Smith, a veteran author. I haven't read it yet, though I intend to one day. It's well appreciated!

Thekla yelling at Alex Windsor from the crowd last night was hilarious. “Okay, I did get fired from Japan.” So here’s a new drawing of her.

(Widths; there we go, widths of vocabulary.) Point being, I have a lot I'd like to prove before I'm done, with this and other stories.
The story I'm working on now, "Perishment," is challenging me in some pretty interesting ways. I can't write like Cormac McCarthy and I don't exactly want to, but I can learn to lock readers out of a POV character's head, and I can push my vocabulary to heights (breadths? vistas?) I haven't been.
I tend to feel I can't achieve very much in life, which is why I place such a premium on something that does feel achievable, which is being recorded in the Great Book of Sword & Sorcery History. This does mean I have to push hard, keep improving, keep finding new approaches to my craft and genre.
