Let there be no doubt about how valuable the Sounder is to our region. The Southbound trains are cancelled and this stop is more crowded then I have ever seen it. It looks like a game just got out at the stadiums.

I got gate checked by Southwest Airlines just now. There was still room in the overhead bins when I boarded. I'm really annoyed.

There should be laws against selling more seats then there is overhead space. If you can only fit so many carry on bags that is the capacity of your airplane.

In a nice change of pace I was able to make the 566 towards Auburn today. It arrived less then 10 minutes after the previous very late 566 so now I am the only person on the bus departing Renton TC.

I need to stop taking the 550 bus. Every time I see the rails on the I-90 bridge I get heartache.

I've lived in Seattle for a long time, but this is my first time on one of the Sound Transit Double Decker buses. I have the entire top of the bus to myself right now and I'm pleased as punch.

The response is yeah heavy rail has faster speeds, but that's not the point of a light rail connection.

A heavy regional rail is a complement to light rail, not a competitor.

Direct integration with MAX isn’t about speed, it is about not having to wait for a transfer and much higher frequency.

I decided to attend a WA Dept. of Ecology Webinar for the Washington Climate Partnership and some yokal from Battleground, WA was complaining about light rail on the Columbia River Crossing and how much faster heavy rail is.

If he keeps this up Ferguson is going to be a one term Governor, with a primary challenge backed by the state party.

He has a chance for redemption by not exercising his veto on the budget that comes to his desk from the House and never going full Elon on a budget again.

Also huge cuts to state funded healthcare at a time when the Trump administration is trying to destroy Medicaid.

If I wanted a Governor to slash spending and cut programs I would have voted for Reichert. We don't need a DOGE budget.

Looking at @governorferguson.bsky.social budget made me so mad. One particular annoyance is him trying to cut the whole port noise mitigation fund. Which is a direct attack on the immigrant communities that live near SeaTac and which have been organizing to stop the airport explanation.

Today was my best day in at least a year, things just seemed to come together perfectly. It was great to see people from the Rachel Corrie Foundation and Seattle DSA at the Washington for Peace and Justice Lobby day. Followed by a very productive visit to the Olympia DSA general meeting.
