You are allowed to discriminate in favour of a protected characteristic - eg keeping abled runners from competing in para athletics
Would ‘not acting your age’ lead you to compete in junior football or looking slightly disabled tempt you to claim disability benefit? I suspect not. There are good safeguarding reasons why we discriminate on the basis of age, incapacity and sex
Up to a point. Identity isn’t just a matter of personal preference; it has social implications too. There are good reasons why 60 year olds cannot socially identify as 16, the abled ID as disabled… or boy scouts as girl guides

Correctly sexing people is an evolutionary skill that works 99% of the time - there are a ton of studies proving it. But as I said earlier, it’s on trans people to comply with the law, even for the tiny number (almost all TM, hardly any TW) who ‘pass’
