Is there such a thing as "half understanding"?

Some of them, reminiscing about their wild, jiggling past, held onto those fiery memories and grew heavy with nostalgia. Others, however, paired up, hand in hand, spinning around each other forever—losing themselves in the dance, forgetting time in the deepest corners of their hearts.
But the walls of their box were moving away, the box was expanding, and the quarks could move farther apart. They slowed down and began to see just how colorful they were. As it got colder, they longed for warmth and started to huddle together.
In the beginning, there were quarks—tiny, colorful little balls so close to each other that they couldn't see one another’s colors. They were fast and furious; it was hot and dense, and they were eager to go.

I am travelling through the city that once was my home and I will write about it.
Meaning could be an illusion just like the continuum might be. A useful one, though, again in the same way.
Automation could become an obsession!
