“A vote like this really does ignore, and even silence, the American people."
Despite intense public opposition, the Senate voted 50-49 this week to overturn a toxic mining ban near Minnesota's Boundary Waters and allow a foreign company to build a dirty copper-nickel mine.
This is outrageous.

This is a choice: protect wildlife, or accelerate extinction. Tell your representatives to oppose this bill now:
🚨🚨 Congress is about to vote on a bill that would dismantle the Endangered Species Act.
The ESA Amendments Act (H.R. 1897) delays protections for species already in crisis, strips habitat safeguards, and makes it easier to approve projects that push wildlife closer to extinction.
EPA administrator Lee Zeldin gave the keynote speech this week to an extremist group, the Heartland Institute, that previously compared those concerned about climate change to the Unabomber.
Zeldin is completely unfit to lead the EPA. He must go. #GameOverZeldin
A graphic titled "SAVE ACT 2.0: The new cost of voting if it passes" outlines potential expenses and time commitments. It lists costs for a passport, birth certificate replacement, voting in person, and updating registration. Estimated costs for a passport include $180 for application fees and photos, $5-$40 for transportation, and a 6-8+ week wait. Birth certificate replacement costs $15-$40+ with transportation at $5-$40 and an unspecified wait time. Voting in person lists a $5-$40 transportation cost and possible lost wages. Updating registration notes transportation costs of $5-$40. Total estimated costs range from $30-$300, emphasizing weeks of waiting, multiple trips, and potential lost wages.
The Senate is voting this week on the SAVE Act 2.0, which would block millions of American citizens from voting and force you to spend extra time, money, and energy chasing down documents just to make your voice heard.

Cool tool. Bad news.
A 13% spike in energy bills over the last year is a warning sign. The #EnergyBillsReliefAct, introduced in Congress, will cut through the red tape blocking affordable clean energy - like wind and solar - from reaching the grid and put money back in the pockets of families.
Despite Trump's best efforts to unlawfully ban clean energy, offshore wind projects continue to race toward completion.
Millions of Americans will receive clean, reliable, and affordable energy in the coming years because of court rulings.
Clean energy is inevitable whether Trump likes it or not 👏
Trump is Making America Great Again if "great" means everything costs more, our air and water being more polluted than ever, and billionaires getting richer and richer while working Americans pay the price
We the people will protect each other & our country because the power belongs to us. On March 28 we'll use our collective power to make clear: in America there are #NoKings Join Us: www.nokings.org?SQF_SOURCE=wca
Unfortunately, HB 2515 did not make it out of committee in time and is now officially dead. 💔
We thank you all for your hard work in advancing this bill. We will return next year, stronger than ever, and pass data center legislation!

Text below states, "Increased Service Between Lynnwood & International District!" with "Happy Valentines Day" at the bottom, surrounded by hearts.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.
🚨Trump's EPA officially made climate denial U.S. policy by rescinding the Endangerment Finding, ignoring mountains of scientific evidence and denying climate change. People will pay the price with their health, their wallets, and their lives.
Our #ClimateCantWait.
Today, Administrator Zeldin took a chainsaw to the Endangerment Finding, undoing this long-standing, science-based finding on bogus grounds at the expense of our health.
🚨 BREAKING: News indicates Trump is set to repeal the Endangerment Finding, which requires EPA to take action to reduce climate pollution.
They are giving free rein to polluters to destroy our planet for profit.
We will all pay the price in higher costs, more disasters, and dirtier air and water.
🚨Republicans’ anti-voter SAVE Act was the biggest federal voter suppression bill ever–until now.
Two new SAVE Act 2.0 bills would make voting harder for citizens, severely restrict mail voting, and let DHS snoop in state voter rolls.
#StopTheSaveAct
The SAVE Act would require every American citizen to show a passport or birth certificate and government ID to vote.
146 MILLION Americans do not have a passport.
69 MILLION women do not have a valid birth certificate due to surname changes.
The SAVE Act is an anti-voter bill.
“If passed, the SAVE Act will disenfranchise 20 million voters.”
Trump has pushed the Republicans to hold a vote in the House this week.

Washington State and the NW are facing our 4th straight season with an abnormally low snowpack in the mountains. This isn't just an issue for skiers. Huge challenges for fish, farmers, and the hydro system. @seattletimes-rss.bsky.social

Why are we fighting to restore full funding for wildfire resilience? These investments make our forests, communities and firefighters safer, and save taxpayer dollars. Now, this funding is at risk.

"While data centers are known to draw large quantities of power & water, state officials don’t have a comprehensive understanding on the specifics."
That's why we're fighting to address these concerns, as well as concerns of affordability, in the WAleg as an #EPC priority.

ACT NOW: Demand that your legislators restore wildfire resilience funding >> https://wcaction.us/wildfire
In 2025, state leaders cut wildfire funding in half. This decision threatens to undo years of progress and shifts the costs of inaction back onto communities.

In response to the ongoing actions of the Trump administration and the Department of Homeland Security in Minnesota and across the country, Washington Conservation Action, as a member of the national League of Conservation Voters (LCV), issues the following statement:

Adam Glickman: "The very number of our union is from our first ballot initiative - give childcare workers the right to unionize." Paying per-signature creates incentive for clear fraud and abuse. Says they've see that in their own initiatives

🚨 ACT NOW! Governor Ferguson’s proposed budget would divert $569M from Climate Commitment Act funds - meaning more pollution, fewer clean-energy jobs, and less funding for programs that lower energy costs.
Tell your legislators to protect climate funding today → wcaction.quorum.us/campaign/152...
This is a complete surrender of our leadership and just the latest but most stark example of the Trump administration putting profits over people and our planet.
Climate change is real and impacting the lives of millions of Americans.
This administration can't erase what we see and feel every day.
