The Hungary public dollars to CPAC story is wild and not getting enough attention here in the USA.
I’m seeing solid coverage EU based media.
If you’re curious about the scale of Hungary’s funneling of public dollars to America’s alt right, here’s a good summary

WSDOT: Just another beautiful day of being a public servant. Let’s check the DM’s—oh. Public: Am I allowed to eat the public roads? They are public and asphalt and concrete taste pretty good. WSDOT: Do not eat the roads.

What in the actual fuck was that
“They can’t believe what they’re seeing.”
Got that right.
I feel like we would have, um, seen that.
CBS News just ran a promo banner for Survivor during the President’s address.

Sunday night update from the Senate:
At ~$1 billion/day, the US has spent as much on the war in Iran in ten days as the entire FY25 budget for the National Science Foundation ($10 billion).
Trump's FY26 budget request for the agency declined to $3.9 billion, due to a "realignment of resources in a constrained fiscal environment."
@isabeldfunk.bsky.social did the family of the Coast Guardsman who died this week set up a GoFundMe?
This is amazing.

This is a great read.

@jasongale.bsky.social Could you ask your publisher to please post your audio book to @libro.fm’s audiobook platform? By buying your book there, I (and other readers) can support our local independent bookstores. It’s also a great audiobook platform.
Thanks! Looking forward to reading After Covid.

Reading this report on the deep connections between Microsoft & Epstein.
In Seattle, whisper networks of women have spoke of a glass ceiling there for female leadership.
Microsoft should review if women were passed over for leadership b/c of Epstein’s influence.

If we want alternate transportation to cars, we need alternate roadways where smaller vehicles can ride safely—converting side streets to small vehicles thoroughfares, looking at elevated walk/ride areas like In Tokyo, perhaps studying the efficacy of bus lanes vs dedicated, wider bike lanes.
E-bikes and lime scooters are in the mix of the high accident rates. They come up in all the accident data.
Just anecdotally, my just-graduated-college neighbors, of four of them commute via Lime, 3 had accidents & 2 have been to the ER this year for Lime scooters/bike accidents in Seattle.
The per rider accident rate is much higher for e-bikes. ER docs are pleading with people to stay off e-bikes and Lime scooters.
If we were building infrastructure that would be safer for alternate transport, great, but most Americans can’t afford a $400 emergency let alone an ER bill & disability.
This is an immensely significant document that continues to get virtually no attention in US media—but lots abroad. In Jul 2015, Epstein arranged a meeting between a known highest-level Russian intel operative, Sergey Belyakov and Peter Thiel,
It’s the builders who should required to be insured.
Useful to know to never buy a home in NZ.
Whoa. Thats devastating.
In Washington State, we have 1st year and 6 year rights. As a result, our home got back more than half its resale value in fixes and settlement. Our townhome complex got back over $1 million USD so we could fix our homes and cover the legal process and investigation.
Do NZ residents have the right to sue builders for bad construction?
Sounds a lot like Seattle.
