I’m not commenting on image generation here - more thinking of ways to use AI to constructively address issues artists run into online/in general. Artists should learn to use AI to our benefit, even as it introduces new challenges.

…and for all women who believe in themselves enough to push boundaries and embrace the challenge of living up to our dreams.
Keep pushing, keep dreaming, keep climbing for a life of dignity and achievement!
Happy #InternationalWomensDay 💕
This #womensday, I’m so grateful to be a mom and Dr🥼; for my husband who pushes me to reach my potential; for my 👶🏻 who inspires me to love generously; for the teachers, PDs, and peers who support me to inhabit spaces of learning and respect the balance of my responsibilities…🧵
#artists What’s your favorite platform for portfolio websites? (with zero coding skills…) 👩🏼🎨🖥️

It’s understandable to feel afraid of what you don’t understand, but don’t let your knowledge gaps block other people’s access to life-saving science…! #vaccinate #mrna #sciencesaveslives

#StandWithUkraine
It’s an embarrassing time for America, but not all of us have forgotten 💔 🇺🇦

Fact: russia invaded Ukraine. russia is the aggressor.
It’s no surprise that t & p, two men who habitually make up their own versions of reality, are scratching each other’s backs. Disinformation is the currency of oppression.

This paper examines the potential for misuse of LLMs in healthcare through AI-driven social and clinical credit systems, highlighting risks to individual rights and ethical concerns.
Such important work! Especially in light of AI’s growing environmental impact, this is a crucial topic for us #radres to consider as we begin practice
Perhaps the fact that AI trains on output from many humans makes it a sort of “collective consciousness” that will feel more relational as it progresses
Also I think maybe we artists aren’t yet sure how to think about shifting our role from technical expertise toward directorship over AI tools, which is more the convo in radiology. Takes out the joy of the craft as we know it, though.
Interesting thoughts. I think art differs from, say, radiology in that it is explicitly communicative - one mind connecting with another through artistic media. There’s an expressive and experiential aspect, impossible to quantify, but it matters immensely to those of us sensitive to it.
Lovely! I experimented with carbon dust a couple summers ago and loved how soft and luminant it makes things look!
Thank you! 😊
What does environmental sustainability have to do with radiology? ❓
🏥 Healthcare accounts for 5% of global carbon pollution—and radiology makes up a staggering 1/5th of that 🩻
(✈️ For perspective, aviation contributes ~2% globally.)
🗑️ ~2/3 of the energy used by CT and 1/3 by MRI scanners is wasted
Such a cool idea!
Love is never wasted 🫂
