I didn't say "Chrome" the browser, I said the browser's chrome, ie. the UI interface around the web rendered content.

I keep thinking a native command palette would be a superb new web feature (and yes, web components), mostly because of the universal accessibility.
But then…how on mobile? Maybe browser chrome would trigger it open? Not sure what the mobile UX looks like.
Such naivety that Starmer thinks he can have any kind of conversation with social media bosses to have any kind of impact at all. He's literally a fly to shit in this scenario.
These sites are monetising children and knowingly create addictive algorithms.

Just discovered @kagi.com's news.kagi.com - what a superb service and exactly something I've been looking for.
Had mine for over 2 decades. I'm in a moment of time where it doesn't upset me as much these days. It's loud AF, but I've found some peace.
I listen to "piano soft music" when I sleep (to help with waking up at 3am and raging tinnitus. It plays via Apple Music.
The problem is that runs for 7-8 hours straight and during the day if I want to listen to Apple Music, all is can suggest is more chill piano when I need something with a beat!
Although… Kingston Upon Thames isn't known as Thames, but rather Kingston (sorry, sliding it - it was my university town - IT WASN'T A POLYTECHNIC DAMNIT!)
My alma mater, Hull, is having its very own front-end conference, Developers Up North, on June 18. My southerner chum @csswizardry.com - the man behind the very first Cheeky Girls official fan site - will be a speaker. Super early bird tickets are a mere £49! www.developersupnorth.co.uk
Remy's stupid face in game boy greens broken into tiles with some of the raw tile data seen below the preview.
Nearly finished with my Marbles Game Boy game (after spending time testing it myself and realising that moving to 10x8 is WAY harder than 10x10, so I had to change the mechanics).
I can confirm that this (pic) tileset *didn't* make the cut, I favoured features over my goofy face.
Orban concedes.
The world is done with right wing policies and the billionaire class who’ve spent decades convincing people they work.
Even though they own the media, even though their ideas are considered defaults, even with the manufactured division.

@greenparty.org.uk now has 225,000 members!
That's an extra 25,000 since Hannah Spencer won last month and 2000 new members in the last 10 days.

such a good movie. all in camera effects (I remember watching the DVD extras some yonks ago)
Yet again, we see how YouTube enables theft and fraud to a massively audacious degree. YouTube is focused only on distancing itself from the predation riddling their platform but they *are* responsible for it. They allow it, they make it easy to do, they ensure it can be done with no repercussions.
holyshit. it's like a rare bird, a jsbin url in the wild!
I had assumed they're just watching for transfer requests on domains (a big list but could pay handsomely), then firing off the request to the domain registrar
We are contacting you because you are on file as a contact for the following domain name. Wow, I can see people easily falling into scam. Took me a few reads to twig.
I had what I considered a half decent idea for an app I wanted to build and use.
By time I remembered what the name of the app that I take notes in was called (literally hours later), I'd forgotten the original idea.
If only I could find some fucking paper somewhere!?
Farage says he would let trump use UK bases. Polanski says hk must immediately withdraw all military support
I was pretty intregued by Antinote antinote.io and as powerful as it is (and simple), after paying for it, I realised I didn't actually use it (supporting the indie devs though, so 🤷)
Same for me, when quicksilver died off, I end up with Alfred, which I've always used since. But for the clipboard history (and emoji search and paste), I've got raycast running along side…which feels over the top!
My talk from State of the Browser is available to watch now. This was so much fun to do, and thanks to @londonwebstandards.org @letorey.co.uk for asking me to be part of it.
What happens when an astronaut moons too close to the moon?
@netlify.com I know there's a way, I just don't know *how*: do I make my build run with zero checks and plugins - as in, mirror the deploy process as if it had been a drag and drop deploy. Is it documented anywhere?
iPad 3 iirc - most expensive part of the entire project 🤦
It's sort of a long answer, but I worked out how the Gameboy talks to the display and how it talks to the controls, and then made that talk to my own joystick and hdmi display. It required also making my own circuit board and removing chips from a super Gameboy. It took a while to solve 😃
The rear view of the cardboard arcade game boy where ribbon cables and wires protrude all over the place. The PCB is screwed into a piece of cardboard. Looks like a box that had dog food delivered in it and poking out. The top is the reverse of the game boy cartridge with Remy's face with a big thumbs up and a stupid expression on it.
In case you wanted to know what was behind the curtain of my cardboard Gameboy - a lot of insides, *and* the Easter egg on the back of my custom cart.
A mini arcade hung on the wall in black with red trim, and Remy's Gameboy game loaded with a score attributed to "DAD"
Don't forget the big arcade!
A cardboard arcade chassis with original arcade buttons and joystick with a black custom cartridge poking out the top of the marquee area with the marbles game loaded on a screen
And here it is running on my custom Gameboy arcade running on my custom dual game cart - ALL THE HACKS
The game menu, with block borders, with fast mode, set seeds and an about.
The "set seed" screen where the player can replay a grid.
The actual game play where some blocks are cleared.
After a week of kicking the Gameboy LLM, multiple useful tools as a side effect, my game is looking good.
