My own machine is a smallish laptop. It only has a single gum slot, so when I went through this exact consideration (talos2, 80gb, wtaf) I had to replace my whole OS drive. I bought the new one with an enclosure and swapped the old OS drive into it.

I see people explaining the difference between them, great, yes. But the decision should also include whether your board has the slot for the stick of gum kind. Unless you're aiming at an external enclosure?

I picked up this raggedy jersey as my next visible mending project. I had intended to run a gradient yarn through the damage and refinish the collar in crochet. Instead, I seem to have accidentally learned to repair the knit. Curious to see which way it goes as I get to the more complex bits.

Still reeling mentally. It's a surreal thing, experiencing a health cascade that goes from a rough day in a heatwave to worrying if your condition is now terminal. I'm expecting results of blood culture tests etc on Monday.

I scored 0.0012 on my second go. I recommend just allowing yourself to close your eyes to rest from some of the burn-in between the higher intensity slides. Using alternating eyes also works but is annoying.
