Last day of our trip. We tried to go see the Jeronimos Monastery, but there were thousands of people standing in line and more pouring out of tour buses, so we bailed and spent the rest of the morning in Roccio Square.
The cat sitter says Milly has been hiding all week. I will be glad to get home tomorrow to see my kitties.

Today's adventure was a tour to Sintra and Cascais. Sintra is the home of the Pena Palace, and absolutely pullulating with tour groups, but the castle and views were amazing. Cascais is a wealthy beach town just outisde of Lisbon, where we had some lunch and some freaking awesome gelato.
Well, I think I just solved the mystery of that big KitKat theft in Europe.

Visited the City Museum of Lisbon this morning. Met some noisy bois, saw the World's Largest Buttplug, and an iron pig head. Lovely visit.

The morning was spent doing a food tour of the touristy Baixa neighborhood, eating all sorts of things from pastries to Iberico ham to rice with fish. The afternoon was spent sleeping off the food coma. Then this evening we went to a Fado house for dinner and live music.
