But papers like the Times and broadcasters like the BBC just crawl up Farage’s backside instead of asking him the difficult questions and scrutinising his past failures.
Don’t pretend to care about probity with Starmer if you’re willing to red-carpet this piece of utter filth into Number 10.

Donald Trump: “A whole civilisation will die tonight”
Nigel Farage: “I’m the only figure from the other side of the Parliament that has consistently stood behind Trump, and stood behind the MAGA movement”
Politically, this should be the end of days for them all.
Conducted by Merlin Strategy & share the same address as Reform. An honest journalist would have disclosed that. These are dangerous times Lewis & you seem to be going with what suits your narrative rather than a deeper analysis.
The message from Farage is clear.
If you're a British Muslim wanting to peacefully exercise your right to pray in public then you're a threat to the nation.
If you're a convicted far-right rioter who was part of a violent street mob then you'll get a personal message of endorsement
When we were first married (1977) we had a party line. Strangely accepted as normal. 😂
Sir, For the first time I totally disagree with one of your editorials, which states that the UK should join the war alongside the Americans. To keep the UK out of this conflict is the bravest, strongest act by Sir Keir Starmer in this parliament. The Iranian regime without doubt is odious but this war is doomed to fail, just like the ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is not supported by the majority of Americans and will cost billions of dollars and many lives. At least the prime minister has learnt the lessons of history - unlike his counterpart in the White House. Dr Susan Kempson Haddington, East Lothian
PM is right to be cautious on Iran I read James Ball's balanced column "Trump's Iran gamble could unravel his presidency" (The i Paper, 3 March) with interest and, yes, his all-guns-blazing action might indeed come back to haunt him. He and his gung-ho colleagues may have read the room wrong and the American people will be furious if many of their young people die as a result of this war. Seemingly diplomacy is at an end and his presidential call of "America First" rings eerily empty. There is no doubt that the Iranian regime which targeted its own people had to be stopped, but is this the best way to do it? JUDITH A DANIELS REAT YARMOUTH My son was sent to the Gulf when Blair involved the UK in the last American-led fiasco. He still bears the mental scars. Consequently, Starmer's reluctance to get involved now is good news to me. L DGODDARD ASHFORD Those who criticise Sir Keir Starmer for not supporting Donald Trump might consider the possible consequences. Has it occurred to them that the Prime Minister is trying to minimise the risk of Iranian retaliatory action, either militarily or by individuals, by refusing to participate in this conflict? His duty to protect UK citizens is a priority. S LAWTON KIRTLINGTON
Letters in The Times and iPaper that reflect the views of British people far better than the deeply partisan, stupid and disloyal headlines of the rightwing press. Showing there is simply no issue on which they will just calm down and support a Labour govt. Not one. Not even in a war no one wants.
FT comments section this morning - saying what everyone else is thinking, right?
Daily Mail headline: IRAN WAR: DAY FOUR U.S. lambasts 'hand-wringing, pearl-clutching' Starmer as Kemi says he's 'scared' of his own voters
The Sun: INACTION THIS DAY PM wont hit Iran back Rift grows with US Prez
Have we woken up in America? The deeply unpatriotic Daily Mail and Sun seem to now be supporting a menace of a foreign leader over our own govt and national security. They are really only loyal to their own vested interests. Which are a direct threat to our own. The routine betrayal is sickening.
This's excellent from the PM
I am not prepared to commit our military service people to action, unless I am sure that what they are doing is lawful & has a viable basis. They deserve to know that their PM cares &pays attention to whether what I am asking them to do is lawful & I will always do that.
It’s highly & horribly likely that the Leader of the Opposition doesn’t or can’t understand this.
An hour into the Iran statement, and Labour MPs appear generally reassured by Starmer's approach. In contrast, none of the Conservative MPs speaking seem to be explicitly backing Kemi Badenoch's fairly gung ho view.
Nigel Farage lied multiple times at his press conference today - including saying no-one who voted Green in Gorton and Denton has a job and he's "certain" Reform won most British born voters in the by-election, based on zero evidence, and yet not a single journalist there pushed back on them
Farage cannot cope with his own unpopularity. At all.
With the media’s help and huge foreign donations, his ego has been massaged into such a state of entitlement that he thinks he’s answerable to no one and simply owed power.
It’s become a national imperative to prove him wrong.
The Prime Minister spoke to the King of Bahrain, the Crown Prince of Kuwait and the King of Jordan this morning.
Easy for commentators and populists to demand Starmer comments every hour on social media or to "comdemn this" or "comdemn that" immediately.
This is what the job entails. 👇
I’ve no idea of the relevance but the Greens were the tactical vote to keep Reform out. And Corbyn said his people should vote Green yesterday. Labour increased their vote share in Southampton. I feel this is not a trend but a one off. The Greens did very well that is true.
I think Nigel Farage and Zack Polanski have behaved extremely poorly since the vote was declared. Neither man embraces any statesmanship or the ability to set an example. One foolishly writing snide letters, the other screaming ‘fix’. Global leaders they are not.
Yet the American State Department's statement only yesterday gave the deal the thumbs up!
How do you deal with these clowns!
I too will now have to vote in May and again next year. Labour is the only sensible vote. Please go out and vote.
Hear hear
Simon isn’t on here so worth a copy to share with you all.
James OBrien is surprised/confused that Labour/Starmer are creeping up the polls.
He should follow a few of us to see how much support for Labour there is.
Me too. I will only join once I know Starmer is supported by the majority of his MP’s. I don’t want the SCG benefitting from my membership.
Yes, quite. It's the biggest scandal of this administration, so far, probably. It's an average Tuesday under Johnson.
+ calling out and even blocking Lib Dems and Green accounts
+ emailing Labour MPs & No10 to show their support for the PM.
+ saying they have joined or are thinking of joining the Labour Party
Brilliant work everyone!

To the lovely people of Gorton & Denton I would mention that Sarah Pochin won the by election in Runcorn & Helsby by SIX votes.
Every vote matters.
Remember Vote in haste, repent at leisure.
Rest in Peace Alex Jeffrey Pretti🙏🏾 The VA ICU Nurses send him off right 💔
You know who”stayed a little back” in VIetnam? DJT.
For well over a decade, Nigel Farage criticised Davos and just two years ago criticised Starmer for going and calling him a
"full-on globalist, hanging out with his mates at the World Economic Forum."
So, question. Where do you think Nigel Farage is going today?
