They said the bus he entered NYC on originally came from Atlanta. They never said he was actually on the bus the entire route. He could have gotten on the bus in Philly. It stops in every major city from Atlanta to NYC (so think Charlotte, Raleigh, Richmond, DC, Baltimore, Philly, etc).

If you’re riding in a bus it’s a bit hard to throw a gun out the window without someone noticing it.
