It took some time but the daily practice enabled me to take the whole thing less seriously while at the same time improving my skills. You might need to find a framework that works for you, my rules are just an example (and have changed a lot since then). Hope that helps.

I've been doing daily sketching for nearly four years now, but my when I began my goal was to rediscover playfulness and to get away from perfectionism. These are the rules that worked for me: 1 per day, it doesn't need to be perfect, no (pencil) sketching, finish it, do whatever you like.

There's a couple of old ladies driving around on these scooter like things for elerdly people, all wearing those reflective vests and I love imagining that they are a gang getting up to all kinds of hijinks in the neighborhood 😁

Nah, I don't think I actually would ^^ but yes, a new direction (though not stylistically, I feel that's actually going quite well) is definitely needed.

Sometimes I just feel like taking ALL of my art, making a big pile out of it and setting it all on fire, anyone else?

I used to think it was connected to "goat simulator", like in an ironic way 😅 (it is though, arguably, one of the greatest bad games of all time)

Calendar used as a sketchbook (4/3 days per page). Inkpen sketch of an anthropomorphic/human like "naked" hare with a stern face and her arms over her breasts. She has curly hair between her long ears. In the background a dark mix of ferns and dandelions.
