It seems to be Gen-X night at the Bluebird.

It seems that this week as we get closer to the big march on Saturday that the intimidation tactics will grow. Be strong and #resist
My least favorite weekend of the year. I resent that I have to lose an hour of sleep so people can hit a small ball around.

I’m already dreading time change this coming weekend. Generally takes me two weeks to adjust. Argh.
Dear clothing manufacturers,
Why do you make shirts in slim with flex material? How about making regular-sized shirts in decent fabric?
There are a lot of orgs and campaigns to donate to right now, of course, and none of us can donate to all of them. The important thing is to do something, whether that's donating money or your time or other resources. Pick something and do it. Everything helps.
If you wanted to donate to Tsuru for Solidarity in honor of today's Day of Remembrance, to support their work, here's a link: fnd.us/tsuruforsoli...

Here's the receipt. It's not a lot, but it's something.

That org has been active in protesting detention and incarceration since 2019. I’m making a donation to them today for the Day of Remembrance.
If you know our history, it can come as no surprise what is happening today. It can come as no surprise that citizenship will not protect you. I'm heartened to see so many people speaking out and fighting back, including members of the Japanese American community.
February 19, 2026 INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL PERSONS OF JAPANESE ANCESTRY As survivors and descendants of the mass removals, detention, deportation, and family separation targeting our community during WWII, we refuse to stand by idly while our friends and neighbors are violently disappeared, forcibly removed, mass incarcerated, and separated from family members. We decry the murders of community members and at least 37 people in ICE custody and enforcement in 2025. We reject false narratives that state violence is "unavoidable," a "justifiable military action," necessary for "national security"—the same arguments used as they forced our parents, grandparents, aunties, and uncles into U.S. concentration camps in 1942. On this Day of Remembrance, we call on Japanese Americans and all people who believe in "Never Again" to demand justice for those we have lost—on the streets and hidden away in ICE detention centers. To break this cycle of state violence. To rise up and resist, together. We bravely commit to being the allies our familes needed during WWII. STOP REPEATING HISTORY. #TsuruForSolidarity #FreeFamilies #FreeThemAll
84 years ago today, President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, ordering the removal and incarceration of more than 120,000 Japanese Americans, about two-thirds of whom were US citizens. The Day of Remembrance this year comes as we see DHS buying land and warehouses for more camps now.

And this is to distract us from the Epstein Files. Cruelty to “hide” cruelty.
A timely reminder from Carl Sagan
If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.
Going from Mark Carney’s speech to Donald Trump’s press briefing was like going from an iPhone to two styrofoam cups and some string.

It's been a chaotic time to be an artist. Now that Canada has a trade agreement with China, it's only a matter of time before Trump ends free trade.
If you're American and been eyeing a piece, now's probably the time.
I know times are tough, but if you could help with a share, it'd mean so much.
It is never too late to read up on propaganda activities and cults. As that is exactly what we are living through.
Only love casts out fear and light casts out darkness.
Everyone being of service to other people and animals in need is also fighting the fear and hate that makes fascism and authoritarianism appealing to so many.
We need to work not just politically, but on every level.

We all need to be prepared.
