Ten years without Prince and his influence is still everywhere in Minneapolis.

You can hear it in the music coming out of our venues, see it in the art across our neighborhoods, and feel it in the way this city continues to create.

He helped define Minneapolis and that legacy isn’t going anywhere.

Congratulations to Kali on being the first RE-Seed property owner, as well as the entire PPL Twin Cities team on this first-of-its-kind program to preserve affordable housing while also creating new pathways for emerging developers to build generational wealth.

Today, we celebrated more than the sale of a fourplex—we celebrated what’s possible when we align community investment, housing stability, and wealth-building opportunity.

At last night’s Elevate & Empower Gala, we celebrated the work The Link is doing and the youth who keep showing up, speaking out, and making Minneapolis better every day.

And, we all supported pollinators on our Mississippi riverfront. Huge thank you to Diane and Tony Hofstede for once again putting on a stellar race and supporting such a critical cause, and big thanks to our park board for hosting us in Boom Island!

This year’s prestigious Bee Run was a barn burner and @senatordoronclark.bsky.social and I got handily beat by Nathan Rock. Frida’s form and speed and courage improved dramatically over the last year making for a proud dad.

Minneapolis police officer who was first on scene of Annuncation shooting receives honor Lt. Ryan Kelly with the Minneapolis Police Department won the honor for his "bravery, leadership, and selfless service" on Aug. 27, 2025.

Lt. Kelly didn’t hesitate—he acted fast and prevented further loss during the Annunciation Church shooting. His bravery sets the standard and reflects the duty carried by every person who puts on the uniform.

There couldn’t be anyone more deserving of this honor.
