Still beating the robots.
It may be a new world, but it’s the same Constitution.
I think it will help some people see that the AIs aren’t all-knowing. The AIs vary wildly in their picks, I identified mine as Chat generated but I wonder if there is a pool out there of different AI generated brackets. CoPilot vs Anthropic vs Chat, etc.
This is my own personal Kasparov vs. Deep Blue.
So far my own gut-based bracket is handily beating my ChatGPT bracket.
Happy St. Paddy’s! Did you know 1/5 of Irish electricity goes to data centers? Ireland is now requiring new projects to be powered with 80% renewables annually within 6 years of project start.
Wow. NRDC tentatively supports restart of nuclear plant in Iowa 😳
They used to be one of the most effective anti-nuclear NGOs in America

Did you know the first commercial nuclear power on the U.S. grid was from a sodium-cooled advanced reactor on July 18, 1955 and not Shippingport? News to me too! share.google/9j8l37YqbJBp...

AP Moller-Maersk A/S will suspend two of its container services due to security risks in the Middle East…
Meanwhile another NYT reporter actually experienced this in Florida and called it uncanny: www.nytimes.com/2026/03/12/o...
This month was the first that DC residents would have seen the “Mayors Energy Surcharge Fund” on their bills. What is it? Well it was an effort to discourage the Mayor from raiding the city’s Sustainable Energy Trust Fund, which was supposed to assist DC residents. But Pepco abbreviated it as “MESF”
@wmsymposium.bsky.social is the first conference I have been to with a robotic dog park, and honestly it is peak.
I have so many questions...
Over the years, when the hypothetical of a war against Iran came up, one of the first things anyone would volunteer was the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and oil prices skyrocketing. It's obvious. Maybe more than obvious if you've ever looked at a map. 1/
The N.R.C. reviewed TerraPower’s construction permit application in just 18 months — far faster than the 27 months it had initially estimated.” www.nytimes.com/2026/03/04/c...
Case 1:25-cV-02942-TJK Document 74 Filed 02/24/26 Page 1 of 17 1 of 17 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA L.G.M.L.., et al., Plaintiffs, V. Case No.: 25-cv-2942-TJK KRISTI NOEM, et al., Defendants. PLAINTIFFS' MOTION FOR AN ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE After a temporary restraining order narrowly thwarted the government's secret, middle-of- the-night attempt to expel unaccompanied Guatemalan children from the United States over Labor Day weekend, this Court certified a provisional class of certain Guatemalan children who are or will be in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other Defendants and enjoined Defendants from "transferring, repatriating, removing, or otherwise facilitating the transport" of class members from the United States. Defendants declined to appeal that injunction and it remains in place while this matter proceeds to final judgment. But Plaintiffs have learned that Defendants are engaged in a practice that openly flouts the plain text of the Court's injunction and the statutory protections guaranteed by the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA). Specifically, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents are returning unaccompanied children from noncontiguous countries, including class members, to their home countries within 72 hours of entering government custody, typically before they can be transferred
NEW: Remember when the government rounded up dozens of unaccompanied children in the middle of the night and tried to summarily deport them?
A Trump-appointed judge entered an injunction barring their removal.
But lawyers for the children say the government is trying to circumvent that order.
Even if you’re not into reactors, the mid-century modern restoration is perfection.
Had an amazing day on the Nucear
Ship Savannah in Baltimore yesterday. They used Section 106 of the NHPA to preserve the reactor internals, so you can actually go inside the containment and see inside the reactor vessel! It is really a rare wonder.
I had two clients moved within an hour of ICE learning we were looking for them and advising us there was not plan to move them.
A family of four moved 36 hours after a court order forbidding them from being moved.
3 other clients moved within a day of court-ordered injunctions.

Ten years ago today, #SCOTUS issued five unsigned and unexplained 5-4 rulings granting emergency applications to block President Obama’s Clean Power Plan—a completely unprecedented move that helped to usher in the Court’s modern … (mis)adventures … with its shadow docket.

World news María Corina Machado says she presented Trump with her Nobel peace prize medal The Venezuelan opposition leader did not confirm whether the US president accepted the award
breathtakingly embarrassing for absolutely everyone involved lol
A nice dive from Sonal Patel on the three Meta nuclear deals announced yesterday with Vistra, Oklo, and TerraPower.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker signs historic legislation to fully remove the state's ban on nuclear energy!
It takes a lot to get a popular elected official to backtrack on a previous veto like this. Awesome to see his mind change on the topic!
