AI is profoundly unpopular. A recent NBC News poll found that among 18-34 year-olds, AI's net favorability rating is -44. *Negative 44*. Those are basically serial killer numbers. It's not much better among women 18-49. (Men over 50 and upper class are the only ones who like AI, and just barely.)

I love not using AI. I love looking at art made by human beings, sculpting kaleidoscopic mushrooms out of clay, learning a new skill from a real person, playing with cats, spotting bats silhouetted in a crepuscular sky. Not using AI is very fun.

At the beginning of the pandemic some disabled people felt hope.
We saw inclusion and accessibility improve overnight.
We saw accommodations put in place that we had spent years begging for.
We saw the world adapt.
That hope was ripped away during the rush back to normal.
It still hurts.
There's probably something someone smarter than me could write about how the entire value of the stock market is in profit and expected profit; which is just the exploitation of workers who make more value than they consume, making the entire thing inimicible to human life and dignity.
