I tell this to indie devs ALL the time! So much we can learn from theatre and the arts nonprofit world.

In theatre business school they taught us to plan to break even if a house sold to 40% capacity. Break even at more than half empty! I don't know what "house capacity" is in games but where do we get off expecting break even at 120% and above of whatever it is? It's just irresponsible.
