It's kind of astonishing that George Orwell's "two minutes hate" is now implemented 24 hours a day and everyone seems OK with that

how we envisioned the dark future: you wear leather and buy brain stims from a small store in an alley. your wrist computer helps you hack

actual dark future: your $89 pants rip after 8 wears. adderall shortage. your wrist computer makes you stand up hourly and buzzes with email from your boss

Men used to float through the air drifting toward the smell of cooling pies but we lost that power in the 1970’s after petrochemical herbicides became commonplace

What’s happening with Twitter is like a reverse stone soup parable. As people exit for Threads, Mastodon, BlueSky etc, we each take our small contributions away and the potluck stew gets progressively thinner and less appetizing.

Here’s a second shot of the eclipse where you can see “Baily’s beads”… the sun shining through the mountains and valleys on the moon.

Why You Should Rest—a Lot—If You Have COVID-19 It could help prevent Long COVID

So many folks are sick again so I share this with love: you must rest. Rest won’t guarantee you don’t get long covid but it’s a huge mitigator. Even if you have an accute mild case. Even if you don’t feel it at all. Send this to your boss. Make your partner clean or use disposable dishes etc.

When I joined Bluesky, the first thing I did was search for my favorite Twitter users and follow them here. Now I realize that none of them actually post here and I have to start over from scratch anyway 🙃

Too tired to play Armored Core 6, but I have loghunts to complete. I don’t even have the moonlight yet! College Jason would be shaking his head in shame right now (while kick spamming Balteus for funsies)

Your lines are mesmerizing. I don't know how you do it. You're some kind of ink wizard

I never want to think about this again

a shoddy mspaint recreation of salvador dali's "the persistence of memory" (1931) painting. there are a number of poorly drawn clocks but honestly the line work isn't terrible all things considered. this was actually one of the first clock ideas i had which i drew about a month ago and expected to post as a finale, but since then i've drawn a month's worth of clocks with plenty more still in the works. who would've known there would be so many ways to draw a clock? i guess they always say there are more than one ways to skin a cat but i always found that metaphor to be rather odd. who the hell is skinning cats in their free time???? i digress.
