Noise Gigs in London | DICE Discover the best live events in London and get tickets with DICE, get personalised recommendations for shows near you!

Nice to see we are on the top line of the "noise gigs in London" page on Dice. dice.fm/browse/londo... (I'm not sure if I really think of it as a "noise" gig, but I guess it's not *not* a noise gig)

Forgot to take a picture. But was a great performance from Palestinian artists Sasha Shadid, Adan Azzam and Julmud @mosaicrooms.bsky.social tonight for the opening of Another Sky Festival. This festival deserves more attention!

There's a parallel perhaps with government corruption. One could no doubt find examples throughout the history of the state to show corruption has "always" existed, but that doesn't mean that outrage over corruption isn't good and useful (as we just saw in Hungary).

Lot of people seem to be very upset about the use of the word "psyop" in the hed here, but when Edward Bernays invented public relations he was pretty upfront about the fact he based it all on the psychological warfare techniques he learnt during WWII, so where's the lie?

Right. But payola in the 50s was a huge scandal. People lost their jobs, got indicted. So I'm not sure if this comparison really lets the contemporary equivalent off the hook....

caveat – there are some typos in the "details" text (my fault).

in the UK, a few years ago, there was a public vote on the name of a new boat for the National Oceanography Centre, a £200 million polar scientific research ship. "Boaty McBoatface" won by a landslide.

Squarepusher – Kammerkonzert | The Quietus Thomas Jenkinson’s new album is an absolutely flagrant showcase for his ear and skill for composition, jazz and harmony, all while completely subverting any rules of these devices

On the 30th April, we take over the Blue Monk on Enid Street, Bermondsey, for a night of experimental and improvised music by Colin Webster, Andrew Lisle, Roberto Sassi, Hannah Dargavel-Leafe & Far Rainbow (that's me and Emily) plus films by Aura Satz. It's gonna be great. You should totally come.

‘We wanted to put a mark on the world’: the sweaty, singular indie music scene of early-00s Brighton From Bat for Lashes to Brakes and the Pipettes, misfits on the south coast made fearless music amid cheap rents and salty air. Could this ever happen again?

www.theguardian.com/music/2026/a... nice to be remembered by my old pal Mia in this piece about the brighton early 00s music scene

to be honest, wht i meant was, they promise a lot, you think it's going to make your life easier, but half the time they don't work and you end having to check everything individually and manually clean half the stuff that comes out.
