The first bio pic of a world leader shot entirely inside of a single room in a hospital
Like genuinely shoutout to this bloody legend but also not being able to code beyond the paragraph level is such a bummer to me for a variety of epistemological/methodological reasons (but for others it might not be, so like, support this plugin!) github.com/chrisgrieser...
I hate NVIVO so much/the QCA plugin someone developed for Obsidian MD is such a great start for a replacement but its (admirable! understandable!) goal of trying to stay entirely markdown based limits it in ways that make me want to learn typescript/fork my own version/this happens 4-5 times a year
“I love my meat slop… I like to wolf down my boy kibble after a heavy lifting session, sitting at my Wayfair dining table by the wan light of my laptop screen, eating alone, watching someone else play video games.“
Like Bryan I don’t think you want to fuck to multiple out of tune pianos slowly glitching out into pure texture???? Or maybe he did, but honestly the whole ordeal was so mortifying that most of the details are long gone
A guy on Grindr asked me if I’d ever fucked to my music and was so persistent about it I had to, like, explain the type of textural, barely tonal nightmare scape shit I make

Reading Thomas Nail’s Figure of the Migrant for work, my main criticism is that — in his discussion of Etienne Cabet — he doesn’t mention mention the dogs of extraordinary size and strength that Icarian communism was meant to breed to do coal deliveries?
“balanda”, Yolngu word for “white people”, via from Makasar Balanda, from Malay Belanda, from Portuguese Holanda, ultimately from “Holland”.

Iranian state TV is straight up playing Giorgio Mordor-style disco tunes.
The chryon reads: "By accepting Iran's terms, the US committed to non-aggression, continued Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, enrichment, and lifting of all sanctions."
It's TWO VAST AND TRUNKLESS LEGS OF STONE Tuesday!
Real honour to write something for one of my favourite newsletters, on how anti-Muslim politics is really the only thing left for many of the Wests right wing (and even left wing) political parties
Claude is down :/ so I’m just running my sink
John Waters standing beside a wall with a sign that says: The John Waters Restrooms. All Gender. Not my photo.
In 2000, John Waters donated 372 pieces of his art collection to the Baltimore Museum of Art. They named a rotunda after him in their gallery. He requested an all-gender restroom be named for him instead. #BOTD
i can't believe people say this just because he consistently funded and armed the israeli military while they were actively committing genocide, even circumventing congress to ensure quick delivery of money and weapons that were immediately used to murder thousands of innocent civilians
This is so, so well-articulated.
What a stressful game of football
The irony of Rankine not kicking straight is not lost on me, reader
Depressed! At the Crows game
This seems like strangely religious fundamentalist and exterminatory behaviour from the liberal bastion and only democracy in the Middle East, but I’m sure there’ll be a gaggle of the most detestable columnists on the planet explaining why this is actually more complex and correct shortly.
"For Israel, it seems, there is no political problem that can’t be solved, at least in part, by the elimination of individuals."
"But AI (and the metaverse, and web 3) must be seen not as novel innovations but as new attempts by the same investor and developer class at extracting value from their past successes, at seeking out new revenue sources amid an already digitally saturated world."
