The U.S. has seen a manufacturing boom since the Inflation Reduction Act, especially in the emerging Southeastern battery belt. But these projects and associated jobs are potentially at risk with proposed changes to tax credits.

Fear has a way of being contagious.
But courage is also contagious.
Stunning; actually stupifying.
as the backlash begins to show itself, never let the bootlicking windsocks like zuckerberg and bezos ever forget what theyve done and said

Sheep for Solar Panels, think #FossilFuels are Baaaaaad. 🐑
“We’ve been working on a plan since April 2023 that would provide solar energy to hundreds of households in two low and moderate income Columbus neighborhoods,” says Mullett.
“Unless the Trump administration makes a 180-degree turn on funding, that expectation will obviously not be met.”

There is a trend to push Renewables to ever more green; which is great. Until addition cost means it no longer is low cost. Generally speaking if it is not lowest cost Utilities go Natural Gas or Nuclear. There is not the same push to make these technologies greener. Other than CCS.
Sure! Duel use of most solar farms is a low cost and easy action that mostly requires some advanced planning. But is site specific. At a bad location or added late in the process or when a particular duel use is forced can add significantly to cost. Which might mean a Natural Gas plant instead.

Raising the things solar are required to do without doing the same to other technologies has a negative economic impact
The nation can now produce nearly 52 gigawatts of solar panels each year, per a new tally from the Solar Energy Industries Association. That’s up from the 40 GW of capacity reported in late 2024.

The U.S. solar energy industry has succeeded in doing something that would have been hard to imagine a few years ago: It has officially built enough factories to meet the country’s demand for solar panels.
Will Trump derail the thriving industry?

It’s rare to find a scenario where everyone comes out on top, but researchers at the University of Western Ontario say they’ve found that elusive outcome when it comes to pairing sheep with solar panels. The researchers examined …

"Why are electricity prices so high if renewables are so cheap?" I have been asked.
The main reason: expensive fossil gas still sets the price 63% of the time in wholesale electricity markets in EU27 & >90% in some countries.

Excited that our rooftop solar panels produced more energy than we used in 2024!
‘Solar & wind being installed five times faster than all other electricity sources combined…solar & wind generation will catch nuclear generation this year…Electricity generation from coal & gas has been stagnant since 2021…peak may have occurred in 2023…Solarwind lock in cheap clean energy forever’
Got my second power bill and... let's just say I LOVE my solar panels.
Sounds weird, but I'm actually kinda annoyed that every kiwi I spoke to with solar was kinda blasé about all the bucketloads of money they're saving. I think it's a kiwi thing. We don't like to toot our own trumpets. GET SOLAR!
